The Defense Group of Leidos has openings for JOC/COIC Communications Operations Watch Lead in Vicenza, Italy.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
This “working supervisor” position will provide leadership, support, and guidance by example for a team to deliver critical Communications and Information Technology Services to support U.S. Southern European Task Force – Africa (SETAF-AF) G6 Directorate, and associated staff elements and organizations & serves as a focal point to maintain information networks, situational awareness in support of command and control (C2), accomplish command-wide communications infrastructure management & provides our war fighters support in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring their computer network is stable, undisrupted, secure. Some OCONUS travel will be required. 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must have an active Secret Clearance with SSBI and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide technical oversight of information security services and customer support initiatives. 

•Supervise up to 3 other Watch Officers.
•Be familiar with basic networking concepts and will be responsible for providing first line fault monitoring on the customers networks.
•Perform work detailed through IT Service Management (ITSM) requested by end-users via the Help Desk.  This work shall include Systems Administration (SA) and Operation on the multi-user, multi-computer networks assigned (NIPRNet and SIPRNet)

• Work closely with local, theater and global Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ)-Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) agencies and support activities to facilitate theater operations situational awareness, issue mitigation, and a coordinated network defense posture.
•Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of a broad range of technical information, use sound judgment to generate, evaluate, and execute alternative courses of action for immediate mitigation of operational impact, and produce timely, effective, decision-quality technical recommendations to support senior leadership. 
•Analyze, track, and coordinate authorized service interruptions (ASI) for the theater, to include all events impacting command, component, operating, and tactical locations. 
•Provide communication systems analysis and cross-organization coordination expertise support continuous communications service to all C2, enduring, tactical, and mobile locations in the CCMD area of operations. 
•Provide guidance to the staff and commanders on all spectrum related matters and coordination and issue of spectrum resources.  
•Assist with mobile device and Iridium support for SETAF-AF Request for Forces (RFF) and Regionally Aligned Force (RAF) personnel deployed to the continent.
•Represent SETAF-AF G6 concerning communications, IT policy, and problem resolution.
•Prepare and execute oral and written notifications, reports, and presentations on significant Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) issues, status changes, and operational impacts for presentation to Flag and General-level officers and the command-wide operational and operations communities of interest.  
•Attend weekly G6 Operations Synchronization meetings, G6 Huddles, weekly status updates, and other meetings as directed.  

 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 9 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience.
• CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater), current.
•Meet TESA Requirements.
•Must be willing to work on rotating shifts, if needed. 
•Must be willing to travel and deploy to Africa.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
•Experience working with/supporting WIN 10 clients, tactical communications equipment + Cisco routers & switches
•Experience with DoD Network Operations & System Administration
