Job Description:

Leidos has an immediate opening for the President of our Varec subsidiary.  Position is based in Peachtree Corners, GA, but other remote locations may be considered.  

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience leading the Varec mission as part of the Logistics and Mission Support Operation within the Defense Group. The position will be focused on executing an established subsidiary and portfolio of defense and commercial programs while also growing into existing, new, and adjacent market areas to meet revenue targets of $40M+ per year. The position will be responsible for managing customer and industry relationships, personnel, programs, technical execution, cost, schedule, quality, and risk to ensure contract and business requirements are met relying heavily on their organization to meet all commitments. The Leader will also be responsible for executing a new business development and strategy from opportunity interest through proposal submission in concert with Business Development and Capture Management teams.

•Initiate and set goals for subsidiary aligned with strategic growth and execution objectives of Mission Operations and Infrastructure Protection division
•Supervise all program and project managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems to ensure successful execution of portfolio
•Lead, manage, coach, and mentor employees, manage professional development, hiring, and issue resolution for the portfolio
•Execute new business opportunities throughout the capture process by leading the development of the execution strategy
•Develop On-Contract Growth strategies to ensure further penetration of existing customer spaces
•Engage employees and customers on a routine basis to fully understand customer requirements and employee capabilities
•Partner with BD to develop a comprehensive and achievable short term and long term pipeline of new opportunities
•Lead and manage the development of related innovative technology to foster growth
•Represent Division leadership as a senior representative/interface for customer engagement

•Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 10+ years of prior relevant experience
•10+ years of specific experience supervising or leading teams, projects, or organization of similar size, scope, and complexity
•Proven ability to manage a variety of contract types including FFP, CPFF, CPIF, and T&M
•Experience in the business capture process and proposal development
•Proven ability to develop teams and collaborative relationships with customers and industry
•Strong demonstrated employee engagement and communication experience
•US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance or higher

•Strong logistics and supply chain management experience
•Fuels measurement and management experience
•Domain expertise in logistics, supply chain management, fuels measurement and management, or supply chain technology development
•Experience with operating a small company or subsidiary equal to or greater than $40M in annual revenue and 100 employees, including management, procedural, and operational aspects of running the business
•Customer and program experience across the US DoD, UK MoD, NATO, AU Defense and commercial markets
•Proven experience building and managing company culture and employee morale
•Collaborative leadership style including open and transparent communications
•Commercial gross margin business experience
