The Leidos Defense group has a career opportunity for a System Engineer/Doman Administrator in Stuttgart, Germany.
This program provides critical Communications and Information Technology Services to support U.S. Africa Command, U.S. European Command, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, Southern European Task Force, and associated staff elements and organizations. It provides our war fighters support in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring that their computer network is stable, undisrupted and secure and will require some OCONUS travel.
•Perform project based Systems Engineering tasks for existing and emergent technologies. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Systems Engineer will:
•Analyze, and participate in forming, customer’s Information Technology (IT) requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures.
•Work with a team of Project Managers and Systems Engineers to craft solutions that meet customer requirements.
•Prepare Engineering Design Plans, Implementation Plans, and participate in Service Transition tasks.
•Supports senior staff as required and ensures customer requirements and project milestones are met.
•Must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
•Other duties as assigned.
•MUST have an active Top Secret security Clearance.
•BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 9 years recent specialized or a major cert + 9 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience.
•Deep understanding of Active Directory.
•CASP (IAT Level III or greater).
•Proficient use of project related software applications: MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Excel, etc.
•Strong technical writing, documentation, presentation and organizational skills.
•ITIL v3 – Foundation.
•Working knowledge of supporting Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008-2016 and Windows 10, VMWare vSphere, Solaris 10-11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
•Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
•Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
•Experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches.
