Leidos is hiring a VTC Engineer 1 - Active TS/SCI Required in Suitland, MD!
All work is onsite in Suitland, MD; an active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this role.
The HOPPER mission is to provide information technology services to fully enable ONI and the Navy to meet mission requirements. The ISC Operations (ISC-O) Department is an integrated workforce of civilians, active duty and Reserve Naval professionals who support combat operations and provide vital information for planning America’s defense against maritime threats at home and around the world. ISC-N3 Operations provides Enterprise Operations support to the ONI customer community at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) facility, to Department of Navy (DON) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Contiguous United States (CONUS), and to shore SCIFs supporting commands subordinate to United States Fleet Forces (USFF) around the world, all on a 24/7 basis.
Primary Responsibilities
-Provide on-site video teleconferencing production, design, engineering, scheduling, installation, maintenance, and related security and operational support services for all room/studio video teleconferencing suites within the NMIC, including tenant commands, Chief of Naval Operations (Pentagon) and ONI affiliated commands in the NCR, which may operate on the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Information System (JWICS), Legacy ISDN technologies and/or IP-Based
-Provide design, engineering, and support for installation and accreditation, activation, and remote troubleshooting assistance of room/studio and desktop VTC services residing on JWICS at Naval Intelligence forces ashore, “Video Teleconferencing” includes, but is not limited to, room-sized systems, and desktop VTC units
-Execute and/or assist in the design, engineering, installation, configuration, accreditation, and scheduling of VTC conferencing systems
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Security+ certification
3+ years of project management experience
3+ years of comprehensive experience with digital A/V (Audio & Video) systems; 3+ years of video telecommunications engineering experience
2+ years manipulating VTC network components (e.g. MCU, Expressway, Controller, UC Manager, Cisco Meeting Server, TMS, Conductor, etc)
VTC Infrastructure lifecycle management experience
Knowledge/experience configuring Cisco and Polycom Codecs and supporting infrastructure; experience with classified and unclassified Internet (IP) and ISDN video teleconferencing
Ability to travel within the National Capital Region (NCR) in support of VTC new hardware or break/fix requests
Must be physically able to lift 50lbs, crawl and walk long distances
Comfortable in high visibility and customer facing environments; strong communications, multitasking and customer service skills
Experience in the development of plans for re-engineering and replacing legacy systems in order to improve customer productivity, enhance maintainability and reduce costs
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, and Outlook)
Desired Qualifications:
AMX, Extron or Crestron Experience
