The Electronic Warfare Division of the Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) currently has an opening for a Deputy Program Manager for an in-service operational system. A system engineer that desires to transition into program management of electronic systems is preferred.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience working as a system engineer on projects that developed or sustained radar, EW or communication systems. Experience with programs in sustainment and pre-planned product improvements is desired. Responsibilities will include significant collaboration and coordination with external customers, line management, subcontractors, vendors, and engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will understand cost and schedule drivers in support of engineering decisions and be able to use their system engineering background to effectively execute the program. The candidate will be expected to be versed in all program aspects and fill in for the program manager when the program manager is unavailable. The candidate will possess superior analytical and problem solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and have the ability to establish solid working relationships with technical staff members and peers within the project.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics or Math and 8 years of experience.
Experience: 5+ years’ experience working as a system engineer on projects that developed or sustained radar, EW or communication systems. Demonstrated leadership of small multi-disciplinary technical teams and projects, Experience developing detailed plans/schedules in support of technical assignments.
Clearance: Minimum SECRET clearance with a reinvestigation within the past 6 years
