The Leidos Defense Group Office of Technology has an opening for a Supply Chain Systems Solution Architect that will work as a member of a dynamic, integrated team to deliver innovative acquisition logistics, supply chain, and lifecycle sustainment products and services that help our customers transform and modernize their business. The qualified candidate will be responsible for architecting integrated supply chain solutions using a combination of commercial software components and low-code development tools, and ensuring the solution architecture can meet the key functional and non-functional requirements identified. The candidate will be expected to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies and industry supply chain trends and Leidos core capabilities and use these to craft innovative solutions and/or identify opportunities for technology insertion. The candidate will be expected to support customer shaping efforts, gather and understand project requirements, and support proposal activities. The candidate will work as an interface between programs, customers, and Leidos senior management to ensure a common understanding of the customer domain, friction areas, and opportunities to develop new business. The candidate will lead internal research and development efforts aligned with Leidos technical strategies and goals, and will identify opportunities to develop strategic partnerships with entities outside of Leidos.
In addition, the Supply Chain Systems Solution Architect will work as an interface between programs, customers and Leidos senior management, ensuring Leidos management understanding of customer domain, pain points, and strategy to drive business development and technology insertion initiatives, in order to ensure success of high-value capture and on-contract growth opportunities.
Responsibilities include engaging in customer shaping efforts, requirements gathering, and proposal support activities, leveraging understanding of industry trends and Leidos capabilities for product development and system integration within the Supply Chain Management domain:
•Architect a solution design that leverage commercial fleet management, supply chain management, ERP, business intelligence, web portal and existing capabilities to develop solution architectures based on IT standards and reference models
•The Supply Chain Systems Architect collaborates with other stakeholders to determine and/or validate functional and non-functional requirements for the initial solution and new software or applications.
•Provides support on a variety of design decisions including solution evaluation and selection, buy vs. build vs reuse questions, early-phase project estimates, platform selection and technical designs.
•Ensures compliance with all architecture directions and frameworks including technical, security, and regulatory standards.
•Supports customer and stakeholder meetings and technical discussions.
•Leads the solution development for the project; through initial high-level technical design, into the detailed design phase, through the development lifecycle and into sustainment of the solution.
•Responsible for developing basis of estimates for the equipment, software and personnel resources required throughout the project’s lifecycle.
•Evaluates existing and emerging technologies to enable system/software architecture alternatives to address functional/non-functional product needs to include cost, schedule, risk, and supportability for enterprise applications.
•Provides direction on a variety of design decisions including solution evaluation and selection, buy vs. build vs reuse questions, early-phase project estimates, platform selection and technical designs
•Oversees progress of product development to ensure consistency with agreed upon system/software architecture
•Anticipated travel for this role is 25%, dependent upon the stage of the program.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology with 12-15 years of experience or;
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology with 10-13 years of experience
•Current SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance
•Knowledge of supply chain concepts including planning, procurement, inventory, asset management and/or warehousing and distribution
•Experience with Agile development methodologies
•Experience with the Atlassian Tool Set (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
•Experience with cloud computing environments
•Experience with system API specifications to enable effective system-to-system communications via web technologies
•Experience with Corporate back-end systems (i.e. Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Resource systems, etc.)
•Experience architecting complex multi-stakeholder logistics/ supply chain management solutions using modern commercial solutions i.e. WMS – Warehouse Management System, TMS – Transport Management System, Sterling OMS – Order Management System, ERP, ESB, Procurement, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, etc.), within a government customer environment
•Experience managing Application Architecture and/or Integration architectural development at an enterprise level including knowledge of application integration concepts and technologies e.g. SOA, ESBs, EAI, XML, Web Services, E-Catalogue Solutions and Identity Management
•Experience working collaboratively to develop a complex IT solution
•Strong consulting, leading and mentoring skills along with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
•Broad knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of application technologies, platforms, and tools including web-based systems, databases, middleware/integration technologies, security, and infrastructure.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas
•Experience in data analytics, software/application development or modeling and simulation
•Expertise with Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS) platforms such as SalesForce, Pega, Appian or ServiceNow
•Certified Supply Chain Professional certification (CSCP), or other logistics certification(s)
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Pay Range:Pay Range $110,500.00 - $170,000.00 - $229,500.00
