Leidos is hiring a Consulting Employee to support Transportation Solutions services in the area of Economic Analysis in support of transportation decision making. This role will provide senior-level thought leadership, technical direction, proposal writing and business development on an as-needed basis.
Desired candidate should possess strong qualifications and demonstrable work experience in economic analysis and technical matters relating to the analysis of the relationship between highway investment and current and future conditions and performance of the Nation’s highways and bridges, as well as the impact of such investment on the broader national economy. The ideal candidate would bring experience and expertise in examining transportation policy, transportation operations and land use planning disciplines through the lens of economic development and be well versed in state-of-the art techniques in economic and fiscal impacts analysis of transportation facilities and services including highways, toll roads, transit systems, airports, maritime ports, and rail facilities.
Duties will include customer relationship management, providing technical guidance to project and proposal teams (including in-house staff and subcontractors), providing thought-leadership on strategic solutions to transportation problems, reviewing reports and proposals, and other duties as assigned. The candidate will be responsible for adhering to deadlines; communicating with customers, in-house staff, and subcontractors about project direction and goals; public speaking; and presenting to Leidos management.
Required Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Economics or Applied Economics fields
- 15+ years of experience in the field of performing economic analysis for transportation and real development.
- 15+ years of Federal, State or local transportation agency experience preferred, including multiple executive leadership positions.
- Experience working with/ for State and/ or Federal agencies is desirable
