Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Junior Project Manager to support multi-agency customers within the Department of Defense (DoD) on Hardened Facility Analysis of adversarial underground programs. You will be responsible for multiple roles in a fast-paced environment. This position requires someone who will take initiative on projects, work independently as well as in a team environment with minimal direction, collaborate across technical and functional disciplines, and engage directly with diverse stakeholders. The selected candidate will apply sound judgment to complex planning, designing, technical, and organizational functions. Duties include ensuring that all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Project Event Management – Develop, coordinate, and implement program symposiums, workshops, and other special events. Engage with stakeholders to develop plans of action and deliverables and develop standard operating procedures for event execution. Plan and coordinate logistics, security, and transportation, and track billeting to ensure projects are within scope, time, and budget. Draft agendas and meeting materials. Conduct pre-event surveys, as needed, and provide on-site event management. Responsible for post-event close-out activities to include but not limited to, coordinate hot wash, draft and edit executive summaries and final reports. Occasional local and CONUS travel may be necessary to manage events.

International Project Engagement – Support foreign partner engagements through partner agreements. Develop, coordinate, and implement multi-agency, multi-national exercises and agreements. Analyze exercise data and conduct post-deployment meetings including, but not limited to, hot wash, executive overview, and final team review/presentation and reports. Exercise discretion and maximum professionalism when interacting with foreign partners and other agency representatives. Develop understanding of export and ITAR policies to make informed judgements in support of the program to maintain export and foreign disclosure compliance. Conduct non-routine classified and unclassified research in support of counter WMD R&D projects.

Operational Project Management – Provide resource management to include, but not limited to, financial, security, and day-to-day operational support to the program. Oversee contract security processes, visit access requests, and new hire in-processing and out-processing. Develop program communication and dissemination of policies, guidance, and customer taskings across the organization to support multi-agency requests.  

Basic Qualifications

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI and eligible for CI poly

  • BS or BA in National Security or International Studies/Policy or related experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in the intelligence and/or DoD communities

  • Familiarity with personnel and/or contract security

  • Demonstrated experience in event management

  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and customer relation skills

  • Highly detailed oriented

  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong team building, planning, and scheduling expertise

  • Ability to resolve complex, unclear problems and issues

  • Ability to be self-sufficient with limited supervision/oversight. Must be able to plan own work schedule/activities.

  • Ability to make independent decisions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of DISS

  • Working knowledge of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)

  • Experience working with the DoD, IC, Combatant Commands, US Embassy, Department of State, and Defense Attaché Office
