Leidos is seeking an engineer to work as an Integration Engineer to support the development of unmanned autonomous ships. This engineer will be joining an existing team which has already successfully delivered for our customers. The successful candidate will focus on connecting with the team, developing and deploying software using established processes, and integrating software into our full stack testing suite.
As an integration engineer, they will be responsible for creating virtual testing environments, integrating and automating unit test frameworks, updating existing build environments and processes, and integration of security patches at every phase of the development life-cycle. They will work directly with other software engineers in the development and deployment of software.
The work done on this project will be demonstrated in the real world. Some periodic travel may be required within the continental US as part of attending meetings and assisting with testing our unmanned vessels. Our team develops and deploys advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions of national importance for a broad range of customers across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, other governmental agencies and commercial clients. Current and future projects span advanced concept and prototype development, low-rate initial production and full-rate production.
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience with Linux deployment and development using Kubernetes, Ansible, Virtual Machines
Experience in software compilation, installation, and unit tests on Linux
Experience collaborating in a team environment
Must be able to obtain DoD SECRET security clearance – US Citizenship required
Experience with object oriented development, cybersecurity, automating unit tests
Exposure to Scrum or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and methodologies
