Leidos's Military & Veterans Health Solutions Group has an Adolescent Support and Counseling Services (ASACS) opening in Osan, Korea.  This position implements a community-based adolescent support and counseling program for the adolescent dependents of U.S. Service members at U.S. Military installations in the Pacific Rim. The essential clinical services includes assessment, early intervention, and counseling services for adolescents and their families for AOD and other behavioral health risk factors.  The essential prevention and education aspect of the role includes classroom education for adolescents, in-service training to community agencies, community education, screening for and facilitation of prevention support groups for youth from high-risk environments and participation in community awareness campaigns.

Counselor Duties Include:

  • Interfacing and networking with military branches and the community to identify adolescents in need of services

  • Supporting family quality of life by offering individual, group, and family counseling

  • Intake, screening, assessment, and management of case load

  • Provide AOD training and specialized education on a variety of topics

  • Treatment planning, discharge, records management, and continuing care planning for   caseload

  • Participation in quality assurance

  • Case record management and documentation

  • Securing and maintaining written referral agreements with all community agencies and briefing referral agencies about the ASACS program

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work

  •  Valid State Clinical License - LCSW at the independent practice level OR Ph.D/Psy.D. Clinical Psychologist

  • Three (3) years of full-time clinical experience including two years of experience in treatment of adolescent substance abuse

  • The possession of or eligibility for a state or national alcohol and drug counseling (AOD) certification

  • Candidates must be creative and skilled in prevention education, community referral agreements, and program marketing.

  • Must hold a current US driver's license and be eligible to obtain a US military ID card, credentialing at military hospital and approval by client

  • Acquire favorable results on Federal Background Investigation

  • Possess intermediate computer competency with word processing, using simple databases/email systems and managing files electronically.

COVID Response

Effective October 1, in order to enter Leidos facilities in the US and to attend Leidos business events outside our facilities, employees will be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or maintain proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 96 hours of entry.  Effective December 8, all Leidos employees must be fully vaccinated (2 weeks past final dose) unless they are entitled to a legal accommodation.
