The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer/Developer on our large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. In this role you will be developing a replacement for an existing software application used to query mission data. It will involve replicating the existing functionality. Majority of the work is in the UI with some middle tier work as well.
In addition to the above work, this person will also modernize 4 other JAVA applications (moving from Swing to web apps, or upgrading frameworks in web apps).
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field 5 or more years of higher level programming experience, BS in CS will count toward 2 years of experience
- Within the last 7 years, a minimum of 5 years' experience with designing, coding, testing, and debugging software to run on LINUX Operating System.
- Experience working with customers to define requirements and then implement them.
- Full stack development experience
- Java experience
- Strong LINUX skills
- HTML experience
- CSS experience
- Git (or similar version control) experience
- Requires a self-starter that is flexible with changing requirements.
- Strong work ethics and focused developer with high productivity.
- Web Server configuration
- Database development experience
