The Defense Group of Leidos has a current job opportunity for a technical lead specializing in Security for Microsoft Azure and Office 365 products for the DISA GSM-O program in Columbus, OH.
A successful candidate will support a dynamic team to identify, investigate, respond, and eradicate cybersecurity events targeting DISA and its DOD Mission Partners. Candidates should have cyber skills and knowledge and be able to operate in a highly dynamic operating environment. Candidates with experience using Lighthouse and/or Sentinel to defend Office365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange Online will be able to apply that knowledge while analyzing and responding to cyber threats and warnings.
Provides strategic oversight, security monitoring and personnel management to the DISA Office 365 Cloud Program. Responsible for training analysts on the specific requirements and tools of AWS environment, reporting, process improvement and customer interaction. Works with the Network Assurance Watch Officer (NAWO) and the Cyber Security Watch Officer (CSWO) to ensure streamlined delivery of Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) services. Conducts tasks and activities as assigned from the Government Operations Lead.
Lead a team of Cyber Security Analysts, including mentoring, assigning and reviewing work and planning/scheduling to ensure milestones are completed in accordance with the program work statement.
Assist with the implementation of security procedures, and verify information system security requirements.
Oversee and support Security Analysts to conduct security event monitoring of an Office 365 Environment.
Liaison with government customer to ensure the organization is meeting its levels of support.
Incident Response and Security event management. Review operation and threat reports to determine improvement opportunities.
Determine need for new processes and procedures.
Complete security metrics and quarterly reporting.
DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, SANS GSEC prior to starting.
DoD 8570 CSSP-A level Certification such as CEH, CySA+, GCIA or other certification is required within 180 days of hire.
Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain and an ability to think and work independently.
Bachelor's degree and more than 8+ years of prior relevant experience; additional work experience or Cyber courses/certifications may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Strong written and oral communications skills and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Willing to perform shift work.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to possess a Top-Secret w/ SCI clearance.
CND experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization.
Experience with Azure AD, Office 365 ,Azure Activity Log, Azure AD Identity Protection, Azure Information Protection (AIP) and/or Azure Security Center.
Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.
Demonstrated hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, Full Packet Capture), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.
In-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (e.g. Sentinel, Splunk, Nitro/McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, QRadar, LogLogic).
Unix/Linux command line experience.
Scripting and programming experience.
Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.
Familiarity or experience in Intelligence Driven Defense and/or Cyber Kill Chain methodology.
Existing 8570 CSSP Analyst Certifications (CEH), CySA+, etc.
