The Leidos Army Intelligence information technology Environment Support (ARIES) program, which is part of the Leidos Defense group, is looking for a Systems Administrator / IT Site Lead to support US Army Central G2. The ARIES G2 Army MI Enterprise provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems as well as network administration support for an organization comprised mostly of a Microsoft Enterprise software environment residing on multiple networks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct day‐to‐day IT operations, including service desk, desktop, server, storage, and network administration, VTC operations, hardware support, etc.

  • Supervise 5 or more personnel; roles include personnel actions, hiring, assigning, counseling, transferring, etc. as required.

  • Manage team administrative tasks, such as work schedule, personnel security, facility access, and contract deliverables.

  • Assist & mentor team members with technical troubleshooting and be able to execute system, storage, network, and/or desktop administrator duties; ensure team members understand and execute according to their roles.

  • Serve as the primary interface between the Leidos team, customer/government leadership, and external support services and agencies.

  • Participate/lead IT projects in the organization; manage projects; track and regularly report project status to both government and company/contract leadership.

  • Implement, document, maintain, and supervise ITIL processes in support of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures, with a focus on Tier I-III support.

  • Provide accurate documentation of work, system and network diagrams (MS Visio, PowerPoint, etc.), and ensure that work meets the required deadlines, quality of service, and availability standards.

  • Properly configure, manage and troubleshoot desktop and server hardware and operating systems such as Windows OS, Windows Server, storage (i.e. NetApp), and virtual environments (i.e. VMware ESXi).

  • Provide Service Desk function to customers as needed, including Active Directory tasks, in & out processing users for accounts, account set-up requirements, troubleshooting workstation hardware/software, trouble-shooting VOIPs and VTC equipment, basic hardware troubleshooting, printer issues, etc.

  • Perform troubleshooting of network and connectivity issues at Tier I-III and coordinate troubleshooting on Tier 0 circuits with external organizations to ensure mission critical operations continue across the AOR.

  • Provide system change inputs through Configuration Control Boards (CCB) or similar processes.

  • Maintain required security posture on all systems in accordance with DoD and local command policies, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other network security requirements.

  • Follow and adhere to all information security regulations and policies on all respective systems and networks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4-8 yrs of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience in the management and control of resources using established reporting mechanisms and at least three (3) years direct experience in managing projects of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment.

  • Knowledge/understanding of and experience with Active Directory, patching/STIGs and system upgrades in a classified environment.

  • Experience in systems administration / systems engineering.

  • Customer oriented with excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Required Technical Certification: 8140 IAT II IA Baseline Certification, such as Security+ ce or higher.

  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One of the following certifications: PMP, DAWIA PM III or FAC-P/PM Mid-Level in Program Management.

  • Currently possess Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or higher certification.
