Job Description:

Leidos has an exciting opening for a Deputy Program Manager (PM) for a large IT program within the IC! The program will cover a wide variety of technical, business, and policy areas in an Office of the IC CIO.

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Polygraph clearance in order to be considered.

The Deputy Program Manager will support the Program Manager, who is Leidos' authorized interface with the customer's Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR), customer leadership personnel, and contractor partner leadership. The Deputy PM will support the PM to determine both technical and business goals in consultation with Leidos management, and makes detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals.

The Deputy PM will support the PM who is responsible for all aspects of the contract to include overall program execution, meeting or exceeding delivery objectives and milestones, and outstanding cost performance. The PM provides management oversight of all program personnel, both Leidos and subcontractors, ensuring the highest quality of task completion and deliverables in accordance with the contract.  The PM performs horizontal integration planning, and interfaces frequently with other functional areas such as subcontracts, project control, and personnel security. The PM is accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates during service delivery, and successful overall project completion.

The Position is located in Reston, VA.

Primary Responsibilities

Support the PM in accomplishment of these responsibilities:

  • Serve as the final accountable point of contact for all customer issues or concerns

  • Develop long-term and strategic objectives

  • Formulate and enforce work standards

  • Develop and execute project schedules

  • Review work discrepancies

  • Communicate policies, procedures, and goals to team members

  • Collaborate with senior government officials

  • Provide supervision, training, and direction to staff

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Generally has 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience directly supporting senior Government officials. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Detail-oriented.
