Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Power BI Developer who will create and manage business intelligence and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. Using Microsoft Power BI and other supporting design tools, the candidate will develop data-driven reporting solutions that measure outcomes, business performance KPIs, and perform trend analysis. We are looking for someone who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and will create and manage BI and analytics solutions that help Leidos management make more informed decisions.

In this role, you should have a background in data modelling and business analysis. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you also have a business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, we’d like to meet you!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Leidos BIOS team responsible for a broad portfolio of Functional and Business analytical applications built in Power BI.
  • Assist enhancement of existing high visibility dashboards as well as requirements gathering and developing new data models and reporting capabilities utilizing tools such as Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate as well as the full suite of Microsoft Office M365 applications.
  • Responsible for analyzing complex business problems and issues and using data visualizations to provide insight to decision makers.
  • Meet with customers to understand and document reporting requirements
  • Translate business reporting requirements into technical reporting specifications
  • Design, build and deploy Power BI solutions (e.g. reports and dashboards, visualizations)
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting of Power BI reporting solutions, including investigation of data issues, data validation and balancing
  • Develop reporting system documentation and training materials

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in MS Power BI data model (M, DAX) and Power BI report development
  • Capable designer of information visualizations and dashboards with attention to detail
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server SQL
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
  • Ability to document business requirements and translate into technical reporting specifications
  • Ability to collaborate with other report developers, data warehouse developers and source system IT teams
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with data warehouse database and ETL development is a strong plus
  • Experience with other BI and reporting tools, such as IBM Cognos, is a strong plus
  • Experience as Power BI installation and administrator, is a strong plus

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00
