The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Risk Mitigation Specialist to work in a customer facility at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. This program requires a seasoned, mature professional with prior experience working in higher echelons of military headquarters, experience in handling sensitive information and independent decision making. Must be capable of working as a member of a highly skilled team to accomplish time sensitive, critical tasks. Must be capable of receiving, analyzing, and interpreting general guidance and direction from program leadership to act independently to changing situations.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting research and analysis on current plans and operations to identify risk to mission success and make recommendations regarding the mitigation of those risks.
Coordinates activities with teammates and other non-program stakeholders to ensure unity of effort.
Formal training and experience in the assessment of and mitigation of risk is a plus.
Must have knowledge of the implementation of processes to conduct research, identify, and measure operational threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
Provide briefings to senior level managers quickly and thoroughly with minimal preparation and be able to react to a highly fluid environment.
Coordinates and interacts with analysts from service, component, DoD, and national-level intelligence agencies.
Basic Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS degree and 4-6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree .
Requires practical knowledge of Special Operations and Special Operations Command, typically obtained through military training and experience.
Must have a TS/SCI security clearance.
Must be able to deploy OCONUS for up to 90 days with US Forces on a rotational basis.
Advanced writing and communication skills and experience producing written intelligence analysis and briefings with little oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
Significant military experience working in sensitive programs or with sensitive information is considered a plus.
