Job Description:

Leidos is looking to hire a talented Program Security Representative to support the Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program.  The Security assistant will support the local Leidos Security team with the onboarding of new hires as well as all personnel security related tasks related to the maintenance of current personnel on the program. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Initiate and review e-QIP for background investigations.

Assist applicants with corrective action concerning the completion/submission of e-QIP.

Determine if additional information is necessary to address discrepant, negative, or contradictory information.

Sends and manages receipt of security documents submitted from applicants.

Reviews all required paperwork and documentation to ensure they are complete and accurate prior to submission to the government for processing.

Contacts applicants or Sub Company Points of Contact via telephone and/or email to obtain additional information and assist with Security form completion.

Maintain internal security database.

Scan hardcopy submitted background investigation documentation into appropriate systems for record maintenance and review.  Updates computer tracking systems concerning Background Investigation material.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3 - 5 years of prior relevant experience

Current DOD Secret Clearance

Knowledge of Personnel Security Investigations, Standard Forms used for Background Investigative process and the e-QIP system

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Must be able to proofread for accuracy, completeness, grammar, and format

Ability to effectively communicate processes and procedures to a broad internal and external customer base

Must be highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience in administrative tasks, including but not limited to answering help desk calls and scanning documents

Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly in order to meet deadlines

Excellent interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment are essential

Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive personal information

Excellent time management and multitasking skills

Computer literacy; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience or knowledge of the MFLC BI Process

Experience with Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and/or Defense Information System for Security (DISS)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $45,500.00 - $70,000.00 - $94,500.00
