LEIDOS currently has an opening for a Senior Solid Propellant Analyst working on-site at a customer location in Northern Virginia. This position is part of a team of Senior Subject Matter Experts providing analytic expertise in the area of launch vehicle and missile analyses. The Senior Solid Propellant Analyst will conduct analyses on solid propulsion components of ballistic missile systems to assess capabilities. Additionally, they will advise and support government customer’s analyses on materials, equipment, and infrastructure associated with ballistic missile proliferation and production.
Knowledge and experience in all aspects of solid-propellant rocket motors for use in launch vehicles and missiles. Industrial experience in the formulation of solid propellants, and the design, manufacture, and testing of solid rocket motors systems required. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 15 years of related experience is required, or a Master's Degree with 13 years of related experience.
Experience in teaching solid propellant rocket fundamentals.
Expertise/degree in Chemistry; familiarity with industrial chemical formulations.
Clearance requirement: This position requires a TS/SCI clearance in order to be considered, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
