The Leidos Defense Group is seeking an Operations Project Manager to directly support the Program Manager in a program support capacity on a large, high-profile DOD cyber contract. DCSB is a multi-year, effort to improve the DOD’s security posture and provide enhanced security capabilities via DCO CSSP services and systems. This individual will manage a team responsible working in for multiple focus areas delivering outstanding products under tight deadlines and constraints.
Responsibilities include:
Manage small projects related to program operations.
Establish standards, procedures, and best practices for program operations functions.
Support process improvement and innovation.
Support program reviews and briefings at all levels of the organization.
Manage program-wide status reporting on a multitude of task areas.
Lead the DCSB staffing portfolio by communicating with subcontracting partners and managing staffing requirements.
Interact with functional leads responsible for other program areas such as finance, staffing, risk management, HR, and subcontracts.
Monitor and report against team program operations performance actions, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and leads multiple tasks, projects or teams.
Deliverables include CDRLs, weekly and monthly project reporting and project plans.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience; or 2+ years with a related Masters. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience organizing and managing contract operation support functions involving multiple, interrelated project tasks.
Experience meeting with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans.
Demonstrated experience supporting projects and experience working with competing priorities.
Demonstrated experience collaborating and coordinating across project teams and components facilitating information sharing, reuse and productivity improvements.
Experience effectively communicating within a customer organization and meeting with stakeholders to formulate, review, and execute task plans and deliverable items.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven ability to multitask, along with strong organization and time management skills.
Per contract requirements, U.S. citizenship and an active DOD Secret clearance is required.
