More About the Role:

Leidos currently has an opening for a Center Logistics Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the NASA/NEST mission. In this mission we provide end user computer, mobile and print support to NASA customers across the country. 

As a member of the Center Leadership Team, and reporting directly to the Center Operations Manager, this role is responsible for delivery of services within established performance metrics, safety and physical security of facilities, and proper accounting and asset management practices. 

What You'll Get to Do:

-Primary point of contract for inventory management, asset accounting, and physical security at the assigned NASA Center.

-Oversees the work of field technicians, logistics technicians, and material handlers to ensure quality of work and adherence to established processes.

-Responsible for production processes for the asset tagging, device imaging, drive sanitization, boxing/unboxing, and shipping/receiving of orders to fulfill approved service requests.

-Ensures all device sanitization activities are completed in compliance with processes and information security standards.

-Ensures all shipping/receiving documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately.

-Partners with Procurement and Enterprise Service Delivery to ensure equipment inventory levels are maintained as needed to meet customer demand based on accurate forecasts and asset counts.

-Works closely with Schedulers, Service Delivery Leads and Operations Manager to plan for high volume requests (i.e. summer interns, refresh schedules, special events) to ensure needed equipment is available.

-Ensures all customer systems are accurately tracked/assigned in the asset management database to provide proper billing to the customer.

-Work closely with senior management to resolve issues with inventory/asset tracking at Centers.

-Responsible for the accurate completion of regularly scheduled asset audits and inventory counts and the real time tracking of assets in both ServiceNow ITSM and corporate accounting software

-Works closely with Center Operations Manager and NASA leadership to plan physical security and facilities controls measures to avoid asset loss.

-Responsible for oversight of vehicle fleet maintenance, ensuring vehicles are compliant with state and local laws, and kept in safe and operable condition at all times.

-Inventory Management, integration with ServiceNOW, Costpoint Management, running reports and ensuring inventory is managed day to day

-Responsible for the goods receipt process that is imperative to our ability to properly account for high value inventory inside the company 

-Other duties as assigned.


You'll Bring These Qualifications:

-Requires a BA degree and 2–4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

-Experience maintaining an inventory in a controlled facility or warehouse

-Experience and knowledge of asset management best practices and industry standards

-Experience directly interfacing with end users/customers and providing excellent customer support to resolve issues

-Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance as required by the customer.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

-Experience and knowledge of computer, mobile device, and printer deployment and/or shipping practices

-Proven written and oral communication skills.
