Job Description:

Leidos is searching for a Program Management/Operations Lead to provide leadership to the Contract Management Team on the ITSSCII program. The ideal resource will need to use their expert knowledge and experience in order to contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the ITSSCII program. This position requires a strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand the customer mission and organization. The candidate should be comfortable communicating on a regular basis with senior executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization and program.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the performance and execution of the Contract Management Team
  • Oversight of Portfolio Risk Management and Quality Assurance processes
  • Ensuring that all contract deliverables are completed, reviewed, and submitted within cost and schedule constraints for all task orders and work orders
  • Manages, directs, and guides support requirements for various high profile projects
  • Utilizes expert knowledge to develop advanced concepts, techniques, solutions and standards
  • Extensively analyzes highly complex problems to seek understanding of the underlying issue and root cause of the problem and implements improvements
  • Improves upon existing solutions, programs and processes using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation
  • Addresses staffing surges as required in response to expanding workload demands of the customer
  • Collaborates with key program and customer stakeholders
  • Continually challenges leadership team to think outside the box and embrace change
  • Mentors subordinate and peer team members as deemed appropriate
  • Participates in various stretch assignments including business development opportunities, diversity-inclusion activities, and volunteer STEM-focused opportunities
  • Serves as Vendor Management Liaison which requires close collaboration with local Subcontracts

Required Skills

  • Experience working on a PMO supporting a program valued greater than $150M/year
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner
  • Strong leadership and accountability skills with a focus on delivering results
  • Experience managing and directing support requirements
  • Experience working closely with executive leadership towards specific organization and program goals and objectives

Desired Skills

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience reviewing current processes and procedures and using background knowledge to enhance and improve them
  • Prior experience supporting a contract for a government agency
  • Experience managing a team

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of hands on experience or Master’s Degree with 13+ years of experience in a related field
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
