Leidos is seeking a qualified Senior Business Development Leader to support growth within our Australian and UK entities.

This person must have experience working with international partners to successfully deliver capabilities. In this role, the candidate is expected to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, apply international experience to drive growth, understand prioritization, perform with a high-level attention to detail, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and handle multiple simultaneous tasks.

This position will support the SVP for Business Development in the Intelligence Group and the SVP for Business Development in the Defense Group, but will report to the VP of Business Development and Strategy for the Intelligence Group.

A successful candidate will have experience coordinating and delivering solutions in a range of technology areas important to Australia and the UK including C5ISR, digital transformation, logistics, and health. The candidate should also have deep knowledge of Australian and UK government and commercial organizations as well as the ability to communicate Leidos value to a broad range of audiences, from internal leaders to external customers.

This person will coordinate efforts across Leidos groups and capabilities in the US with Leidos Australia and Leidos UK to develop winning solutions for the international market. The position requires the ability to work vertically and horizontally across organizational boundaries, provide leadership/mentorship and guidance to operational organizations and interface with technical, financial, and contracts support personnel. The position will also support proposal development and business capture processes.

Duties include, but are not limited to international strategic planning, target identification, qualification of targets, aiding / coaching / mentoring / assisting stakeholders in developing campaign plans, identifying, prioritizing, scheduling, and accomplishing tasks to grow business. This candidate also helps develop technical and mission differentiators to improve Pwin and strategic growth.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree with at least 15+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) procedures and systems
  • Experience of delivering complex capability to international customers
  • Deep technical knowledge and operational experience in linking capabilities to customer needs
  • Ability to develop and maintain high-performing relationships with internal Leidos stakeholders and translate this collaboration to value for our international entities
  • Must possess outstanding oral and written skills.
  • Strong skills in Powerpoint, and Word are required.
  • Up to 25% travel including international travel to Australia or the UK

Security Requirements Candidate must be a US Citizen. A Top Secret/SCI clearance may be required after employment has begun.

  • Previous experience working with international entities
  • Demonstrated success in growing business in Australia and/or the UK
  • Experience with US export policies and procedures
