Leidos Civil Group has an immediate opening for a Solutions Architect to join our Office of Technology team in support of our federal civil customers. In this role, you will help our customers solve their most demanding challenges by adopting and leveraging current and emerging enterprise network modernization capabilities to deliver their mission in a more cost effective, resilient, secure, compliant and adaptive manner.

In this role, the candidate provides leadership in building a portfolio of offerings and capabilities that encapsulates Leidos’ and partner intellectual property to address current and emerging demand signals in the federal civilian IT market for network build, modernization, and optimization.  The candidate will ensure Leidos differentiation of scale, security and speed feature prominently in positioning of our major capabilities.  The candidate provides leadership across the spectrum of enterprise IT, including end user services and software defined networking.  The candidate leverages modern software-defined practices to govern enterprise IT solutions.

The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with business development, capture management, line management, research and development, and other subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered in proposals, on programs, or on research and development projects. In addition to developing solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems. The ideal candidate will have technical experience architecting Network Services and Network Defense for federal customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Build and curate a comprehensive portfolio of network optimization capabilities and offerings relevant to the Federal Civil marketplace. This includes developing and leading architecture definition of Network solutions (WAN, CAN, LAN, WLAN) addressing the full lifecycle from early CONOPS, requirements development, technical planning, system integration, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation, design, build, cost, deploy, through sustainment.
•Establish and maintain relationships with Leidos internal teams and key alliance partners to seek, qualify and leverage the best ideas, solutions and models across the company and throughout our community of trusted partners. In concert with those partners, identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve enterprise IT capabilities resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction. Shape procurements and future technology development.
•Establish Leidos best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches related to digital modernization and transformation technologies with emphasis on application of evolving Network technologies and approach to integrate into existing customer enterprises.
•Curate proof points and past performance qualifications for Leidos success stories to deliver our customers’ mission leveraging IT modernization capabilities
•May act as technical leader for Internal Research & Development (IRAD) activities for Civil Mission-focused IT modernization capability areas
•Shape procurement through client presentations and speaking engagements
•Identifies partner alliances to pursue and industry events for Leidos to participate
•Identify relevant market trends in technology, methodologies and organizational designs
•Partner with the Business Development team in supporting the shaping and development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, and industry relationships via responses to RFPs, new business reviews, white papers, customer shaping calls, and Leidos’ corporate Win Plan process for larger franchise opportunities and to understand and participate in the development of new business strategy assessing current and future skills and technology needs.
•Provide senior technical leadership for major or strategic Leidos enterprise IT and data center optimization oriented captures, establishing the main solution concepts, identifying key elements of solution and approach differentiation
•Identify offerings to place on GWACs
•Educate teams on the implementation of new network operations initiatives, providing associated training as required
•Act as a Subject Matter Expert for end-to-end enterprise IT and network optimization
architecture design, to include zero trust implementation
•Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to enterprise IT and data center optimization  architectures, security, deployment, and operations


Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in technical disciplines with 15+ years of experience related to IT and/or systems engineering. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
•Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets and in particular in government Network Service design, implementation, operations, and modernization with associated cyber network defense solutions. Network solutions encompass WAN, CAN, LAN, WLAN, and Carrier scale network technology and Network management tools used to operate the network.
•Experienced professional in contract performance with demonstrated technical leadership and customer relationship building
• Has a successful track record in providing technical leadership in federal new business pursuits, with over $100M in Total Contract Value wins in the previous 5 years
•Capable of generating on-contract-growth through insertion of innovation and technology on existing programs.
•Deep industry awareness with leading capability providers and competitors to enhance our solutions offerings and close gaps in offerings yielding competitive technical solutions.
•Ability to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives.
• Experience leading the design and integration of enterprise-level technical solutions to include capturing technical requirements and defining technical solutions in the form of conceptual, logical, and physical designs; and the ability to articulate those concepts verbally, graphically and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired timeframe.
• Experience developing cost models, technical delivery plans, technical solutions and basis of estimates (BOEs), including BOM development. Also develop concept of operations and discuss these models in Agile, federal SDLC or ITIL based terms.
• Extensive experience identifying potential design, performance, security, and support problems, including ability to identify technical risks/challenges and develop relevant mitigation strategies.
•Active security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
•Network Certifications (CCIE a plus)
•Security Certifications (CISSP a plus)
•Other IT certifications (cloud, Microsoft)
•ITIL foundations certification with Enterprise IT experience using ITIL
•Experience with Managed Service delivery to include Network services.
•Experience as the lead solution architect and/or technical volume on captures and proposals valued >$300M
•Experience defining and leading Network R&D projects / portfolios and supporting the transition of technology change into programs
•Experience having worked successful partnerships with suppliers on proposals
•Experience in implementing zero trust compliant infrastructures
•Experience in leveraging AI solutions to augment human participation in incident management/SRT workflows (AI Ops)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $110,500.00 - $170,000.00 - $229,500.00
