Leidos is hiring a Software Configuration Engineer with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility to join the US National Data Center mission development and operations team at the Air Force Technical Application Center (AFTAC) on Patrick AFB, Florida. 


The candidate should be fluent with the Git configuration management tool, software configuration processes and systems engineering standards.  

This position focuses on the software build and release process in a DevSecOps environment.  The system resides on several security classification levels.

Development and deployment environments consist of Linux and Solaris, virtual machines, and Cloud environments.  Development languages include Java, C, C++, legacy Fortran, Python, and Perl.  

Effective interpersonal and communication skills are required to perform well as a member of our collaborative, rapid paced, cross-functional team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Support a multi-disciplinary team to accomplish the software baselines, builds, and promotions in a timely manner


Maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure.

Maintaining build processes for multiple environments, security classification levels, and sites.

Supporting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools integration/ operations/ change management, and maintenance.

Enabling successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.

Supporting policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both operations and development teams.

Basic Qualifications

Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

BS/BA and 4+ years of relevant work experience; additional  work experience may be considered in lieu of degree  

 

Current IAT Level II certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+) or willingness to achieve within 6 months of hire

3+ years of Software Configuration Management experience with source code control, configuration management, and code branching/merging strategies 

Recent experience working with Git/GitLab 

Experience with C/C++, C#, Python, Java or similar programming languages.  

Experience working in a multi-level security classification environment

Experience working in a DevSecOps environment and Agile development methodology

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting a DoD Customer in a classified environment 

Experience with Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, shell scripting or perl 

Experience with change management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC))

Experience with full automation of CI Testing.

Certification in SAFe, SCRUM or Kanban
