Leidos is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join a high-performing communications team to help drive social engagement and strategy across internal and external audiences for a public health government agency. The ideal candidate will showcase an in-depth understanding of major and emerging social media platforms, their individual audiences and how each platform can be leveraged to gain unique marketing value for the agency. As a member of a highly collaborative communications team, the Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Strategic Communications Manager, internal customers, production colleagues, and subject matter experts.

Develop content for distribution on social media platform.
Develop external relationships on social platforms.
Track campaign successes.
Monitor social media channels for sensitive issues.
Maintain the social media calendar.
Advise leadership on proper targeting of messages to different platforms.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
BA/BS and 3 or more years of experience in social media marketing. Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Proven experience managing social media campaigns on channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
Can guide and manage adoption of new platforms, exploring TikTok and emerging opportunities.
Experience with creating basic video content for social media.
Ability to look at data, analyze, and draw valued insights and have a deep understanding of social algorithms to optimize the channels.
Proficient in social media management software such as Sprout Social or similar.
Collaborative working style.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
Healthcare or public health knowledge preferred.
Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Success with being a team player.
Self-starter, with ability to manage tasks and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
