Job Description:

The Leidos Defense Group is seeking a dynamic Training Manager to proactively manage all aspects of training on the SURTASS program.  This includes building training curriculum, creating course material, updating course material, coordinating the training logistics, tracking student progress, managing the student certificates, managing the training for on-boarding new team members, ensuring all team members are properly qualified and maintain qualifications within specified periodicity.  Also, responsible for reporting, managing the associated CDRLs, providing and implementing process and content improvements, and ensuring training remains relevant to the changing mission needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have at least a High school diploma or GED. A Bachelor or Associate Degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of progressive work experience in a Navy life cycle sustainment program or a similarly complex operational environment.
  • A Secret Clearance required.

Desired Experience:

  • Five (5) years of combined experience in the maintenance and repair of SURTASS Subsystems, SURTASS COMM subsystems, and/or SURTASS arrays. Experience in all three of these areas, versus one or two, is highly desirable.
    • SURTASS PROCESSING SUBSYSTEM includes: ICP, UNIX based processing systems, LINUX, ORACLE, COMPOSE, GCCS-M, GPS (Commercial and MIL-STD), Bathythermograph/Sound Velocimeter, Mechanical and Ring Laser Gyro, TTTS and/or PC Test Set
    • SURTASS COMMs SUBSYSTEM includes: SHF, UHF SATCOM and LOS, HF, NOW, IFF, SECURE VOICE and DATA CRYPTOs, CMS, EKMS, KMI, SIPRNET, ADNS/CFCP, and/or NIPRNET
    • SURTASS ARRAYS includes: TL-29A towed array, LFA, CLFA, and/or HFM3.
