Leidos is seeking a Task Supervisor to join our Washington, D.C. team. This first line supervisor reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for carrying out a variety of operational and technical assignments in support of the Complaint Resolution process. This includes performing legal research, gathering, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys and other legal counsel, as well as maintaining case files, indexing and tracking documents, and responding to citizen correspondence and telephone calls.
Main Duties include:
Supervises and directs Analysts and/or other clerical/administrative staff
Perform and supervise operational and administrative assignments in support of senior executive office
Gather, collect, record, track, and verify data and information from multiple sources.
Compile, review and analyze complaint data.
Perform evaluation, triage, and prioritization of incoming complaint cases
Independently reviews and analyzes a high volume of alleged HIPAA compliance violations including access, health information privacy, and security and provides initial recommendations for addressing those complaints
Schedule meetings, answer phones, file documents, maintain calendar for senior government officials, and provide back-up support to other front office staff.
Assists in the design and development of procedures for tracking, controlling and managing case work
Perform other tasks in support of OCR’s complaint resolution process
Bachelor’s degree and up to 2 years’ related work experience
Experience reviewing and analyzing documents
Ability to make quick, reasoned decisions
Excellent written and oral communications skills (i.e. Expertise in legal research, including use of LexisNexis and Westlaw, or equivalent, writing, and analytics)
Strong knowledge of office and network environments
Expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Suite
Knowledge and experience with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
Litigation support experience
High attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Experience working with high level officials in the public sphere
Ability to absorb substantial subject matter, think independently, apply law to fact, and offer measured responses to the general public
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Excellent writing skills and oral communication skills.
