Job Description:

The QRC Airborne ISR Systems Division of the Airborne Solutions Group of Leidos currently has an opening for an Operations Center Logistics Liaison Officer (LNO) supporting the PSS-T program in Columbia, Maryland. Leidos is the Product Support Management and Logistics Lead for an unmanned aerial intelligence platform located in various CONUS and OCONUS operational areas and depots. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Persistent Surveillance Systems – Tethered (PSS-T) program.

The Flight Operations Center LNO for the Persistent Surveillance System – Tethered (PSS-T) program is responsible for monitoring system health of deployed assets; executing logistics response to system failures and/or supply shortages; and supports improvement of Performance Based Logistics Metrics (PBLM) by monitoring, reporting, and interpreting analytical data. The LNO will answer calls at the Flight Operations Center from system operators and field support representatives to resolve logistics shortfalls and reporting discrepancies.  

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitors mission health of deployed systems and provides daily reporting to the Operations Center lead. Responsible for gathering and analyzing mission data, electronic health and status reporting, and other details from fielded calls to meet contract data requirement listing (CDRL) reporting requirements. Enables situational awareness with near real-time monitoring of deployed assets.

  • Maintaining program supply and sparing levels at logistics hubs and forward operating sites. Determines most effective and efficient means to source supply requisitions.  

  • Generates procurement requests to fulfill supply requirements for OCONUS sites. Coordinates with production planners and buyers to ensure timely delivery of needed supplies.

  • Coordinates with OCONUS technicians and directs troubleshooting questions to appropriate field support representative or engineering point of contact. Researches maintenance and supply guidance/instructions to resolve system and performance issues, and/or coordinates depot repairs and funding with OEM or service vendors.

  • Liaises all purchase requirements initiated outside of the BOM process by interfacing with OCONUS logisticians, technical leads, program managers, procurement, and government approvers. Reviews, validates, and sources supply requests to ensure timely delivery to OCONUS sites.

  • Coordinates flow of equipment, material spares, and consumable items to maintain system health at forward operating sites. Coordinates and tracks shipment of critical supplies to OCONUS.

  • Utilizes maintenance and logistics data management programs to develop tailored reports in response to customer inquiries and support decision making.

  • Coordinates property disposition activities for CONUS and OCONUS hub and spoke locations.

  • Facilitates daily operational status update meetings with stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of logistics experience; additional experience may be used in lieu of a degree.

  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams to implement a logistics solutions for urgent mission requirements.

  • Familiar with Army transportation, property transfer, turn-in, and shipment documentation.

  • Ability to monitor OCONUS supply operations for multiple locations and mission systems.

  • Ability to support 12-hour shifts (day or night) on a recurring seven-day on/off work cycle.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

  • Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree with three (3) or more years of experience with military logistics functions or commercial supply chain management.

  • Familiarity with policy and resources used in Army sustainment operations.

  • Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency with asset management and maintenance tracking database software.

  • Prior experience in tracking and reporting against Performance Based Logistics Metrics (PBLM).

  • Experience with maintenance planning, supply distribution, Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) implementation and parts provisioning.  

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
