The Leidos Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Defense Operation is presently seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to support one of our most critical DoD missions. Our customer serves as principal enterprise systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and technical authority for the Nuclear C3 Enterprise within DoD and oversee systems engineering and integration for the entire National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC) infrastructure. Work performed at the Nuclear C3 Enterprise Center – Fort Meade Site.
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

In this role, as the NLCC SE Data Scientist, you will be responsible for:
Creating and maintaining data dashboards for the Government Customer, USSTRATCOM NEC Systems Engineering and Integration Division (SE&I).
Putting and storing data in a database and creating dashboards in Tableau (or a similar software).
Maintaining and updating the dashboards and their related databases.
Applying knowledge of data visualization principles, data visualization tools such as Tableau or equivalent (e.g., Power BI), database management tools and principles, and SQL is required.
Demonstrating and applying knowledge of Python-based data visualization tools (e.g., Dash, Matplotlib, Seaborn) a plus.
Supporting SE&I’s digital modeling and model-based systems engineering efforts.
Extracting relevant data from text documents (Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF) and other sources (e.g., Microsoft Visio) and converting it to a format (e.g., Excel, CSV, or SysML) for importing into a digital modeling environment.
Demonstrating and applying knowledge of Python 3, the Anaconda data analysis environment, natural language processing tools and procedures, and relevant Python tools and modules (e.g., the Natural Language Toolkit, spaCy, Pandas, pdfminer).
Demonstrating and applying knowledge of Python-based machine learning tools (e.g., scikit-learn, Tensorflow 2) a plus.
Applying knowledge of digital modeling tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo) a plus.
Respond to queries from the Government customer for data that may be stored across multiple documents, databases, networks, and software environments.
Collecting, cleaning, and presenting the data in the required format.
Helping to organize and maintain files (documents, data files) for both SE&I and the Leidos contractor team to fulfill quality management and configuration management requirements.
These qualifications are required:
Bachelor of Science and 12+ years’ experience to include a at least 10 years’ experience as a Data Scientist, an Advanced Technical Engineering Degree preferred.
Must hold active TS/SCI Clearance
Experience with creating dashboards using Tableau or related software.
Experience with Python 3, Anaconda data analysis environment, natural language processing tools and relevant Python tools and modules.
Experience extracting data from various sources.
These qualifications are preferred:
Experience with digital modeling tools (SysML, Cameo, etc).
College-level training in calculus, linear algebra, and statistics and probability.
Advanced Technical Engineering Degree
