Leidos is seeking a Route Clearance (RC) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a large-scale contract.

The successful candidate for this position will be a direct contributor who will also be responsible to coordinate and communicate with personnel and lead the operation and sustainment of RC/EOD systems and enablers and RC/EOD deployment concepts as required in support of all other associated contract activities.
Will manage multiple activities simultaneously as necessary at disparate locations in both CONUS and OCONUS locations with the ability to solve problems directly or remotely as they occur and assimilate new solutions from trending lessons learned.
Responsible for developing Counter-IED (improvised explosive device) operations and exercises to include search of routes, compound clearance, vehicle clearance, explosive handling and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) drills and procedures as needed in support of ground vehicle fleet operations and sustainability.
Act as advisor to contract and customer leadership. This position will also be the key person in developing enhancements to updates to related procedures and provide guidance and oversight to all subordinates in their implementation.
Will provide all documentation and reporting as necessary.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
BA degree and 8 or more years of relevant experience; or a Masters and 6 or more years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience and documented training will be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 5 or more years of experience with planning and executing sustainment operations of RC and EOD vehicle fleets.
The RC and EOD SME must possess demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in Counter-IED (improvised explosive device) operations and exercises to include search of routes, compound clearance, vehicle clearance, explosive handling and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) drills and procedures.
Knowledge base includes both simple and complex IEDs devised from military, commercial, or homemade components conflict, post-conflict, and non-conflict environments.
Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates and leadership (internally and externally) a must.
Available for frequent CONUS and OCONUS travel required.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in the field (deployed) integration of enablers on RC/EOD fleets.
Preference for SME with related military experience and Navy EOD Training.
DoD Secret security clearance required.
