Job Description:

Leidos is seeking an experience Solutions Architect to join a large cyber engineering contract. This role requires an individual who is technically sound in cyber and IT operations, and is organized, detail-oriented, and autonomous. The ideal candidate would have great communication skills and able to articulate and defend design decisions in front of the customer, to propose solutions that align with the organization’s missions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for delivering an innovative product, service or, at higher levels, a combination of products and services that address a customer's specific objectives and requirements
  • Drive the technical approach for approximately 10 short-term to long-term engineering projects that enhances the organization’s cyber capabilities and IT operations, including new technology implementation and technology refreshes
  • Ensure the projects are completed on time and meets the quality expected by the stakeholders
  • Hire and manage approximately 20 architects, engineers, and project managers to support these projects
  • Transition development projects to Operations and Maintenance
  • Support proposal development on additional opportunities
  • Work with the Chief Security Architect, SOC Transformation Lead, and the customer to ensure the program’s vision is achieved
  • Communicate to stakeholders any items of escalation. Actively identify and mitigate risks
  • Perform trade studies and analysis of alternatives to recommend improvements to existing infrastructure and cyber capabilities.
  • Lead and develop innovative solutions in support of capture and proposal efforts, to include evaluating tradeoffs of solutions against cost, schedule, function, quality, and other evaluation criteria
  • Support program management and business development reviews (e.g., budget reviews, spending plan, risks and opportunities) and assist in improving technical performance on existing programs as required

Basic Qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise in both cyber operations and architecting solutions
  • Familiar with different system engineering life cycle models and activities
  • Have prior team management experience
  • Have prior project management experience
  • Have prior engineering and solution architecture experience
  • Proven track record to successfully execute multiple projects simultaneous on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with senior program leadership, customer, and end users
  • Experience in writing for white papers, RFI responses, and proposals
  • Experience in conducting trade studies, product evaluations, or research projects
  • Bachelor degree in technical fields with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master degree in technical field with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; Industry certifications will be considered in augmenting years of experidwence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP or IAT level 2 certification
  • Experience with DoD or federal government contracts and customers
  • Experience with integrating solutions in a multi-vendor environment
  • Experience with enterprise-scale operations and maintenance environments
  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework
  • Experience with various security tools
  • Ability to multitask and solve complex technical problems
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
  • Experience with IT infrastructure, TIC, SIEM, SOAR, logging solutions, analysis tools, CASB solutions

Clearance Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance

Pay Range:

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00
