Job Description:

The Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Defense Group, Army Mission Partner (AMP) operations is seeking a Senior Business Architect (SBA). In this role you will apply analytical, communications and creative skills to help customers/stakeholders understand their business, diagnose their pain points, identify opportunities, and visualize their future business operations. You will partner with internal product/capture/proposal teams, and enterprise solution architects to ensure that transformation initiatives are driven by Army business needs, priorities, and vision. The SBA will analyze business capability, ecosystem, and value stream models; strategy and information maps – along with operational scenarios and business process models to “tell stories”, “paint pictures”, and leverage data to inform / influence business strategy and customer solutions.

Primary Objectives:

  • Assist in the preparation of business architecture artifacts depicting current, target, and interim states of business operations for the Army IT account. Use current state artifacts to identify and analyze pain points and opportunities. Ensure alignment with strategies / objectives and across domains. Support the development of business architectures and technical solutions within the Enterprise and Cyber Operations (E&CS) and specifically for the Army & Mission Partners Division. 

  • Provide input to project, product, and enterprise technology roadmaps for current programs and prospective customers. Assess new / proposed projects while considering Army business architectures and modernization initiatives in support of annual planning, resource estimation, and alignment with IT strategy. 

  • Work closely with and support Solution Architects and Capture teams to develop technical solutions that represent appropriate Army business architectures in responses to RFIs/RFPs and other customer-facing engagements.  


Required Qualifications for this role include:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 13+ Years’ experience in Enterprise Networks, Information Technology and/or Digital Transformation.  Prefer direct Enterprise IT and Network experience with the US Army.

  • Must hold current minimum Top Secret clearance

  • Ability to coach peers and team members.

  • Ability to manage cross-domain architecture solutions and issues.

  • Effective organizational, interpersonal/relationship management, analytical, communications (written and verbal) and collaboration.

  • Expertise and knowledge of Army Enterprise IT modernization initiatives

  • Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

  • Experience executing large, complex IT programs

  • Experience managing military mission-essential IT programs 

Salary Target: $200,000.00

Pay Range:

Pay Range $139,750.00 - $215,000.00 - $290,250.00
