We are in search for a SharePoint Farm Administrator (Level 3) to work at our customer site at the National Maritime Intelligence Center, Suitland, MD.
In this role you will provide SharePoint Operations and Maintenance for Collaborative Services, Automated Business Processes, and related applications (currently SharePoint based) to fulfill the Hopper Information Services Center (ISC), Operations Department (ISC-N3), and Services Division (ISC-N33) SharePoint mission requirements.
Hopper ISC-N3 provides around the clock Enterprise Operations support to the Hopper ISC customer community at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) facility, to Department of Navy (DON) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Continental United States (CONUS), and to shore SCIFs supporting commands subordinate to United States Fleet Forces (USFF) around the world.
Collaborative Services and Automated Business Process Support currently utilizes SharePoint. SharePoint is a web application platform developed by Microsoft. Hopper ISC utilizes out of the box SharePoint technologies, 3rd Party SharePoint-based solutions, and internal custom-developed SharePoint solutions. SharePoint at its core is used to enhance web content management, document management, application management, collaboration, and automated business processes.

Responsibilities Include:
Provide Collaborative Services and Automated Business Process Technical Support:
Lead and Coordinate activities with other SharePoint personnel.
Assist with and support user documentation and training for SharePoint based Collaborative Services and Automated Business Process.
Operate the SharePoint Farm and SharePoint Online presence.
Configure, patch and maintain the SharePoint Farm and SharePoint Online presence.
Monitor daily performance and initiate remediation in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
Act on and respond to ITSM incident, problem, and service request tickets
Assist with and support user and technician documentation and training for SharePoint and SharePoint based applications.
Create and maintain documentation (HowTos) that allows Tier 1/2 customer support personnel to verify proper SharePoint operation and respond to customer issues.
Support the development and administration of sites, libraries, and lists for SharePoint sites within the unclassified and classified Domains.
Collaborate with users and coworkers to develop or enhance data strategies, systems, processes, and initiatives intended to help manage information to achieve strategic objectives and tactical requirements through improved data capture, creation, preservation, assessment, access, and distribution.
Respond to and address Automated Business Process and Collaborative Services related issues beyond the capability of Tier 1/2 customer support personnel in accordance with existing processes and procedures.
Restore items, lists, libraries, and sites from backups as requested, and in accordance with existing processes and procedures.
Create sites based on Government approved requirements, and in accordance with existing processes and procedures.
Identify new areas on an ongoing basis where SharePoint can be leveraged to streamline or automate business practices.
Provide support to the development and integration of workflow processes which may include development or maintenance of documentation and assistance with installation and testing of SharePoint related software tools.
Research, document and recommend new system related technologies that could enhance, improve, automate and provide more efficiency to the operational environment.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
BS degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Three or more years of supporting SharePoint users.
Three or more years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
Four or more years as SharePoint Farm Administrator.
Able to quickly build a SharePoint farm.
Familiar with all the functionality of the “Central Administration” web application and the STSADM.EXE commands as well as Shared Services functions, including managed properties, content sources, crawling, profiles, etc.
Proficient at IIS Management, Server Administration, Active Directory Operation (including LDAP queries), DNS Operations, SMTP, Network Load Balancing (NLB), Event Viewer and Performance Monitor, Powershell scripting and providing SharePoint support and developer training.
A broad knowledge of Windows networking and authentication, Kerberos and PKI and how to troubleshoot network connection and authentication problems. Comfortable with a variety of utilities such as Process Monitor, Network Monitor, Fiddler, LDAP browsers, KLIST, ADSIEdit, etc.
ITIL V3/V4 Foundation certification.
CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification.
Clearance Required:
Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
