Job Description:
Lead Records Management efforts on behalf of the Office of Production Modernization (NA-19) that directly support the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Defense program and other agency offices. Duties include, though not limited to, the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the NA-19 Records Management Team to ensure the following are accomplished on behalf of the Office:
Fulfill the Records Management Coordinator responsibilities as defined in the NA-10 Records Management SOP 20-16 and associated guides, instructions, procedures, etc.
Complete a comprehensive NA-19 network drive assessment to obtain any records for filing prior to uploading onto the NA-19 Records Archive & Management System (RAMS)/classified RAMS (cRAMS)
File all NA-19 level records in NNSA’s Records Archival Management System (RAMS/cRAMS)
Communicate to staff NA-19 RAMS/cRAMS policies, procedures and their associated responsibilities
Ensure all records adhere to the NA-19 naming convention
Oversee records management with various personnel
Create and maintain internal procedures as it relates to NA19 Records Management requirements
Maintain attention to detail in a multi-project work environment
Protect integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of records in accordance with established procedures and requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Preference is for an individual with experience working in a government, DOD, DOE, or military environment.
The individual should have demonstrated experience working with National Archives & Records Administration (NARA) and Department of Energy regulations and records schedules and a have relevant understanding of applicable policies and procedures supporting NNSA programs.
The individual should be a self-starter, possess the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment, and effectively interact with a broad range of Federal and military staff and senior leadership.
The individual will primarily work from home but may be required to travel to the NNSA Albuquerque Complex or Forrestal and Germantown area to support disposition and destruction of unclassified, OUO, and UCNI records.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in Business, Information Management, Records Management, Library Sciences, or closely related field.
12 years of experience with at least one year of demonstrated direct experience in documentation, cataloging and record-keeping techniques and information management responsibilities in a professional business, Government, DOE/NNSA, Military, or Management and Operating contractor environment. 16 years experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Able to obtain an ‘Q’ clearance within a 1 year since OUO and UCNI do not require a clearance pursuant to NA-70 Controlled Unclassified Information site.
Ability to research, organize information, and present or report options to solve/improve organizational operations, procedures, and on emerging standards and best practices in digital asset management, including digital asset preservation and metadata.
Ability to leverage critical thinking skills for rapidly shifting environment while maintaining attention to detail in a multi-project work environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to exercise mature judgment and make independent decisions in accordance with established policies, rules and procedures.
Ability to work in a team environment, interacting with a range of federal and contractor staff and fully supporting federal team lead to complete assigned tasks and projects.
Strong organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing while working in a collaborative team environment.
Proficient in MS Office; in particular SharePoint, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
