Leidos is seeking a Data Architect to assume a client-facing assessment and guidance role. The candidate best suited for this position has experience working in Agile environments, SQL server and is comfortable guiding stakeholder interviews and consultations. Data architects create blueprints for MHS GENESIS data management systems. After assessing federal client’s data sources (internal and external), architects design a plan to integrate, centralize, protect and maintain them. The candidate will be responsible for designing an enterprise data management framework. The DHMSM program is the DoD’s leading program designed to deploy a modern Electronic Health Record (EHR) system across the United States, and around the globe. As the Data Architect, the candidate will provide monthly briefings on the use of Big Data architecture frameworks, methodologies and patterns needed to invent the solutions that users are going to ask for, not necessarily tomorrow, but six months from now or even two years from now. This position is 100% Remote.
Primary Responsibilities
Discover untapped architecture components and apply referential architecture content in new and creative ways. Conduct customer and stakeholder assessments. Create monthly briefings that reflect stakeholder reviews and the “functionals” perspective. Ensure successful integration of architectural artifacts and content that yield “value add” business perspectives. Provide business architecture support for integration and reference analytics and business intelligence. This will include inform and mock-up architecture perspectives (reports and alignments/association). Daily activities will include developing findings and suggestions for all data architecture content and inform continued architecture and content maturity. Prefer candidate has experience with mapping/assessing Data Flows and Data Lifecycles.
Experience in thought leadership and to-be-architectures. MUST be able to meld new systems with existing warehouse structures and collaborate with IT teams and management to devise a data strategy that addresses industry requirements.
- Create a fluid, end-to-end vision for how data will flow through DHMSM
- Build a unified data infrastructure and deploy atomic patterns, which address the mechanisms for accessing, processing, transforming and consuming data, giving users a way to address data requirements and scope
- Build an inventory of data needed to implement the architecture
- Identify and evaluate current data management technologies
- Research new opportunities for data acquisition
- Maintain a corporate repository of all data architecture artifacts and procedures
- Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree with 8-10 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 4-6 years of prior relevant experience.
- US Citizen, with the ability to obtain an ADP IT-II Public Trust based on the minimum of a Tier 3 investigation. Per contract requirements.
- ETL/ELT approaches and integration technologies like SSIS (Sql Server Integration Services)
- Strong content knowledge in Data Modeling, Data Marts, and Data Warehouses
- Host guided discussions and create mind maps, SWOT, and TOWS assessments
Preferred Qualifications
- Conceptual and physical database modeling
- Relational and NoSQL databases
VA, DoD or federal contracting experience
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00#Remote
