We are in search of a Windows System Administrator (Level 3) to work at our customer site at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. In this role, you will provide advanced Windows System Administration support for Hopper's server and client infrastructure, and will be responsible in maintaining secure and maximum system readiness. Management of all systems shall encompass client/server operations and maintenance, configuration management, installations, performance and capacity planning and office automation. This work will be done in conjunction with Hopper ISC established requirement priorities and authorizations. ISC N32 provides Enterprise Operations support to the Intelligence Community (IC) at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) facility, to Department of Navy (DoN) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Contiguous United States (CONUS), and to shore SCIFs supporting commands subordinate to United States Fleet Forces (USFF) around the world.

THE MISSION
The purpose of this effort is for the Windows Server, Desktop Management, Enterprise Application and SQL Database Support Order, which will be contracted to support the Hopper Information Services Center, Information Technology. Operations Department (ISC N3), systems Division (ISC N32) for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
•Maintain, secure, support, and as necessary, upgrade all servers and Microsoft desktops including the following ( but not limited to) the following technologies and\or applications: Domain Controllers, Active Directory/DNS Servers, Exchange Servers, DHCP Servers, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), SQL Servers, Quest Software Management Tools, Network Printing Capabilities, Microsoft Clustering, Microsoft Database Availability Groups (DAGs), Microsoft Group Policy, Virtualization, Desktop Management, Host Based Security Systems (HBSS), and Internet Information Services (IIS)
•Work across IT functional boundaries (other system administrators, SAN administrators, Network administrators, Database administrators, etc.) with configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrade and system management for optimum performance and reliability.
•Report any server performance issue that will impact mission operations
•Create, document and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain and secure servers and related software.
•Ensure all server configuration changes have been approved by the government CMR process and documented prior to implementation.
•Develop, maintain and document Baseline installation and configuration procedures.
•Monitor performance and make modifications and adjustments to system architecture, storage methods and management system software to fine tune the system for optimum response time and throughput.
•Develop, recommend, document, implement and maintain system management policies, procedures and standards.
•Research, document and recommend new system related technologies and as well as migration and upgrade paths that could enhance, improve, automate and provide more efficiency and or up-to-date technologies to the operational environment.
•Develop a Disaster Recovery and Contingency Plan for Hopper ISC Services. Occasionally travel to support of this effort includes locations where servers reside.
•Install, build, rebuild, configure, maintain, secure, document and administer Windows Server Systems, database, system related products, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
•Responsible for maintaining daily operations, monitoring, problem identification/resolution of server/systems, applications, operating systems and analyzing activity and performance ensuring system/application is providing optimum performance and availability. •Provide system administration support in terms of installing, configuring, maintaining security, install patches and perform necessary upgrades in order to keep servers/workstations updated and secure.
•Identify, troubleshoot and resolve system and application related incidents detected during monitoring
•Create and maintain security documentation for servers, desktops, and applications, and ensuring all systems maintain compliant to current security policies.
WHAT SETS YOU APART (minimum job qualifications)
•A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 yrs. of related work experience; additional years of experience may be allowed in lieu of a degree
•7 years experience with Windows Server OS
•Expert knowledge with VMWare 6.5 or higher
•Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or higher
•Proficient in SAN storage
•Up to 10% travel required
Proficiency with the following core Microsoft Products
-Domain Controller (DC)
-Active Directory (AD)
-Domain Name Server (DNS)
-Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
-Exchange
-System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Certification Requirements
•A current Security+
•A Windows Certification at an Associate's level or higher
Security Clearance Requirement
An active DoD Top Secret/SCI

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
