Program Manager
Description
Leidos has an opening for a Program Manager (PM). The PM will lead in managing approximately 55 FTE on a dynamic, 24x7x365 operational and analytical program at an Intelligence Community customer facility in Northern Virginia. The PM will primarily work at a company site and will travel between customer and company sites on a frequent basis.
The PM reports directly to the Portfolio Manager, works closely with the Deputy Program Manager (DPM) and contributes to all aspects of program execution. This position supports staffing efforts to include: posting and tracking all positions, screening and interviewing candidates, facilitating the onboarding process, maintaining staffing rosters and managing the subcontractor team and their positions on the contract. The DPM assists in establishing career development plans for program employees and facilitates performance reviews and compliance with annual training requirements. The PM supports contract growth goals and the redeployment of personnel.
The PM leads long-term strategic program objectives to help ensure that customer requirements (for both cost and technical performance) are satisfied in future years of the contract. The PM will interface with the customer and other Leidos functional areas such as subcontracts, project control, and personnel security on a daily basis. In addition, the PM will facilitate internal and external program reviews, operational meetings and briefings. The PM supports timely development of program deliverables; facilitates adherence to all security requirements; provides supervision, training, and direction to assigned staff in coordination with the Portfolio Manager.
In addition to duties supporting the primary 55 FTE program, the PM will regularly support other corporate initiatives as assigned, to include business development, program execution support, staffing efforts, and ad-hoc/surge requirements.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Candidate must have a current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph;
- Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred;
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a leadership role and 10+ years of prior relevant experience;
- Ability to establish an effective working relationship with technical staff, managers, customers and peers;
- Ability to gain internal support and consensus;
- Ability to operate independently using solid judgment and without extensive supervision or feedback;
- Well-developed reasoning and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage risk and anticipate long term impacts;
- Excellent briefing, writing, communication, administrative and organizational skills;
- Analytical , detail-oriented, curious mindset regarding program finance, policies, administration and deliverables;
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook).
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience in customer area.
• Advanced degree.
• Experience working on a 24x7 staff.
