Leidos Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Defense Team is seeking a Virtualization (VMWare) & Storage Administrator at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ. This position will support the NETCOM Regional Cyber Centers - CONUS (RCC-C). US citizenship is required with the ability to obtain an interim Secret. An active Secret clearance is preferred.
What will you do in this role?
Operate and maintain VMWare virtualized and Storage environments on diverse hardware platforms
Troubleshoot complex issues using GUI, command line interface, and Windows PowerShell
Work with remote customers and technical support vendors to resolve complicated hardware and software issues
Utilize diagnostic tools to trace and resolve technical problems
Utilize Remedy ITSM to track and resolve problems impacting continued system operations and make recommendations for any corrective actions required
Create and document potential courses of action for resolving complicated hardware and software virtualization problems
Plan, coordinate, and document the use of revised/updated procedures, processes, and methods for the operations and maintenance of the Data Services infrastructure
Provide "on-call" support after business hours and during weekends when required
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
Review systems development, project requests, coordinate schedules and related departmental activity
Provide overall direction and guidance to assigned project managers
Review and evaluate work of subordinate staff and prepares performance reports
Prepares activity and progress reports regarding all systems analysis and programming sections
These are the Required Qualifications for the role:
Must be US Citizen eligible for DOD interim Secret clearance; active Secret Clearance preferred.
High School Diploma +8 or Associate's Degree +6 or Bachelor's Degree +4 years IT experience.
IAT II certification required (GSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP).
Must obtain VMWare CA, EMC Storage Administrator, Symantec Certified Specialist or other qualifying certification on CE list within 180 days
Excellent team skills, must be thorough, must have excellent communications skills, written and verbal
Ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment
These are the Preferred Qualifications for the role:
Demonstrated knowledge of VMware products (ESXi, VCSA, VSAN, vROPs) include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Demonstrate the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances
Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with different enterprise level backup and recovery software
Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with different disk based backup appliances
Exhibits dedication to providing quality customer service
Demonstrate knowledge of various SAN hardware and software to include maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Experience with Data Domain, NetBackup, EMC Unity and EMC VNX solutions.
Effective problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability
Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify the cause of issues with the system or determine if other teams need to be included in resolving an issue
Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger team managed by a project manager
Demonstrate initiative, possess a result oriented mindset, and act with flexibility and tenacity
