The Lead Cyber Security Engineer will provide an Application Migration program.
The ideal candidate will lead the cyber security engineering for the modernization and migration of ~100 applications to the commercial cloud annually.

Responsibilities Include:
Function as security engineer leading development and maintenance of security solutions (e.g. software libraries, security automation) in support of secure application migration to the cloud
Work with developer teams to categorize their applications and identify overlays, select controls for their applications, and validate whether their solutions satisfy controls
Educate developers on how to maintain security and recognize security relevant changes
Facilitate the automated scan exception process
Perform periodic application security review samplings and application audits
Perform risk assessments on 3rd party dependencies and OSS packages and provides a risk assessment recommendation to the AO or the Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR) for new 3rd party dependencies and OSS packages
Lead troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance for Cloud security related products to support deployed applications and systems.
Identify and make recommendations for security tools, systems, and capabilities to meet customer security requirements
Provide systems security engineering leadership and support for high performance computing systems, specifically in Cybersecurity, Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) / Information Assurance (IA), and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Address and develop solutions for computing security requirements (e.g., RMF)
Complete ATO process for applications deployed in Cloud environments
Perform security evaluation of vendor hardware, software, documentation and testing, and documenting findings in reports and briefings
Evaluate and apply government cybersecurity (DoD, NIST, FIPS, JSIG and NSA) policies and instructions
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience, training, and/or professional certifications will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Experienced in software development to be able to read source code and determine if that code meets the requirement of specified security controls it is intended to satisfy.
Able to write standard libraries and sample applications that can be used by application development teams as a faster path to meet selected security control requirements.
Experienced performing dynamic testing of applications using common testing tools to validate implemented the controls.
Knowledgeable of cloud [e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, etc.] platforms, services, architectures/ designs, and best practices and DevSecOps tools/practices
Experience with industry standard virtualized networking components (Cloud application firewalls, Cloud Services Routers, Cloud Gateways, etc.).
Experience with manual and automated security administration, remediation, and hardening (STIG reviews, group policy and permissions, system modifications based on vulnerability scans, audits, and mitigations, patch management)
Experience conducting Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Monitoring and Response activities
Fundamental understanding of networks and network protocols, TCP/IP, Cloud, common application layer protocols, and security best practices, on premises and cloud.
Excellent communication both verbal and written
Required Certificate:
Security+
DoD 8570.01-M IAM-II certification (e.g. CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP)
Preferred Qualification:
Demonstrated experience deploying/operating cloud security technologies.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals certifications; Security specialty preferred.
Experience implementing multi-factor authentication for SaaS applications
Experience obtaining and centralizing cloud audit data and associated capabilities
Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Experience with cloud IaaS solutions such as Microsoft Azure
Experience authoring enterprise cloud security policies or establishing an enterprise cloud security strategy.
Experience supporting automated ATOs and continuous RMF
Experience supporting RMF processes for applications in IL5 and IL6 cloud environments
Experience with PKI
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Clearance Required:
Requires an active Secret security clearance

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00#Remote
