PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The portfolio of projects includes tactical mobile development as well as enterprise web application development. These products support the Cybersecurity and Information Assurance domains and deploy a variety of technologies and communicate with infrastructure interfaces to bring secure, modern-day Cybersecurity and Cryptographic Key Management solutions to the warfighter.

Leidos is seeking a candidate for the position of a Cloud Engineer, who is technical and well versed in performing AWS configurations and deploying cloud initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for providing oversight for members on the engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for establishing standard operating procedures that will monitor the infrastructure/security for Cybersecurity and Information Assurance domains.
As a member of the team, you will work closely with Operations teams, other team members, and application owners to solve complex technical problems related to cloud hosted systems that require escalation. Daily tasks as the Cloud Engineer will involve providing feedback to management on process improvements and areas of concern. Along with overseeing the day-to-day operation of various engineering solutions. It is expected that the candidate is able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate will be a member of an experienced project team.

Basic Qualifications
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years’ experience. At least 3+ years of experience with building, deploying, managing, and operating cloud solutions. Following are a list of required and preferred languages, frameworks and skillsets.
- Experience with Amazon cloud services or similar (e.g. managing AWS frameworks using infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and CloudFormation.)
- Experience working within Windows and Linux.
- Experience in building or configuring cloud-based container components.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, and possess time management skills to meet schedules and participate in the scrum.
- Experience establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with assessing risk of technical solution paths.
- Works well in a team environment and has excellent written and communication skills.
- Someone with strong problem solving and decision making ability.
- Detail oriented with experience interacting with customers.
Preferred (some subset of the following):
- AWS Certified Solution Architect, Professional (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with CloudFront and Lambda @ Edge or similar.
- Experience with CloudFormation and/or other tools infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) and containerization.
- Experience provisioning Operational and Test Networks.
- Experience transitioning legacy systems into the cloud.
- Experience with Virtual Machine management.
- Ability to manage workload within multiple projects, delivering results within agreed deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and in a team.
- Flexible and able to adapt to new processes and requirements in a dynamic environment.

- Experience in Scrum Methodology or other Agile environments.
