Job Description:
The Leidos Civil group is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) Team, providing support to the Federal Aviation Administration’s Unstaffed Infrastructure Team (AJW-242). This position will be 100% Telecommute and Full-time.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating Electrical systems Design in accordance with contract documents. In addition, collaborating with subcontractors, performing quality control, and safety checks, and providing on-site direction as needed. Update team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by reviewing designs
- Applying knowledge of electrical schematics and materials
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline
- Assures product quality by reviewing electrical designs and ensuring current standards are applied
- Oversee projects all the way through completion
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of Electrical design.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards including the National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and International Building Code (IBC)
- Coordinate resources, personnel management, time management and communication skills; ability to navigate related technology; familiarity with field-specific tools
- Working knowledge with Microsoft Office and communication Tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Demonstrated aptitude in use of project scheduling software such as Microsoft Projects.
- Demonstrated aptitude for collaboration, teamwork, and risk management.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass FAA security screening for positions of public trust. Public Trust requires US Citizenship or a Green Card and 3 years of residency in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Experience or Military Aviation background
- Knowledge of FAA design criteria for power distribution, lightning protection, grounding, bonding and shielding
- Professional Engineering license
Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00#Remote
