Job Description:
The DHMSM program provides modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense. The Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH) is seeking enterprise architecture candidates for the engineering team to support a number of tasks to define, implement, deploy and sustain new capabilities for the MHS GENESIS DoD EHR system.
Our MBSE practice focuses on defining and operationalizing modern architectures that serve as strategic translators and critical enablers for unlocking new value to support business growth.
As an Enterprise Architect in the DHMSM program, you would be required to work with Senior IT Management to help shape and transform the enterprise architecture (EA) agenda for DHMSM. As enterprise architect, you are expected to provide strategies and solutions with unmatched federal health knowledge, and client experiences to best serve DHMSM needs and accelerate growth with practical end-to-end (e2e) solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support creation of EA blueprints demonstrating the e2e technology landscape including applications, integrations, and data
- Build relationships across business and technology teams
- Using Lean and Agile principals, develop roadmaps and recommendations which translate into actionable initiatives for DHMSM program
- Lay out the ground rules for the execution of the EA capability based on the client’s overall business strategy
- Leverage expertise to develop relevant EA insights to address customer challenges
- Define approaches to that provide structured solutions to complex client problems, by recombining existing methodologies and teams
- identify and translate clinicians’ needs for the EHR transition and implementation of health information technology
- Improve workflow, end-user adoption, and patient experience related to the EHR transition.
- Understand regulatory changes and industry dynamics and the impact of trends on the DHMSM program to identify and formulate the resulting EA changes
- Understand the business strategy and help clients to define the link with technology
- Assess the impact of the business strategy on the EA landscape, including touchpoints for interfaces, data, infrastructure, and operations
- Apply Architecture Assets, frameworks, patterns, and governance approaches to direct the use of technology to meet current and future demands in line with key stakeholders
- Create an EA vision and strategy aligned with business objectives and develop an architecture roadmap from “as-is” to “to-be”
- Work between the business and technology client & 3rd-party stakeholders to effectivity formulate and communicate key architectural decisions
- Provide EA governance to clients throughout their transformation program
- Traverse between levels of technical detail across a breadth of technologies and capabilities to best understand “as-is” and appreciate the implications of “to-be” recommendations
- Identify collaborations and research opportunities that could contribute to effective EHR implementation and use
- Software development methodologies, including testing
- Cybersecurity implications
- Commercial and DOD release management methodologies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Master's Degree with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
- US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain an ADP IT-II Public Trust Clearance based on the minimum of a Tier 3 investigation. Federal Government requirement.
- Possess a minimum of five years of experience in either software, system or enterprise architecture disciplines, feature engineering, data access, application development, model LCM, and cloud infrastructure.
- Must have Experience in MBSE, DoDAF/UAF and UML/SysML
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in EA in Health and Public Sector industries
- Experience with large-scale enterprise system of systems integration and deployment
- Understand and having applied typical architecture patterns to renewing legacy technology landscape
- Experience with Cerner EHR implementations
- Familiarity with DoD Configuration Management and Systems Engineering methodologies
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00#Remote
