Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide support to the Department of Transportation's Enterprise IT Infrastructure environment. Our work will assist with the management of IT services for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) including: Service Desk, Incident Management, Customer Service Operations, Database Administration, Telephone & Conference Call Services, Desktop Support, Mobile Device Support, and Remote Access Support.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs day-to-day activities required to manage data services, utilizing a broad set of tools to design, manage, and maintain all aspect of data networking.
Ensure the organization's Network infrastructure and related systems are well maintained, and operate reliably and securely.
Perform regular systems and security monitoring, provisioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Perform administration, operations, maintenance, and support of WAN infrastructure, routers, firewalls, Ethernet switches and related systems.
Follow relevant processes, procedures, and standards.
Provide technical support related to assigned systems within their organization and to outside customers as needed.
Handle patches and upgrades to ensure that systems are maximally efficient, effective, and secure
Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Cisco Internetworking Devices.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
Related experience managing data networks and cloud infrastructure
Possesses advanced skills and knowledge in routing, switching, load balancing and firewall management
