Job Description:
Responsible for Site Commissioning and Installation of electrical controls equipment to industry standards. Ability to follow instructions and undertake tasks with minimal supervision. Travel is required away from home in the UK and Overseas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Technical
Ability to read electrical drawings
Able to use and create documents on Microsoft packages
Ability to use PLC programming packages for fault finding and program modifications
Programming and fault finding on drive systems
Configure computer equipment
Understanding of fieldbus systems and network systems
Fault finding of electrical circuits
Capability to carry out testing procedures on control systems
Telephone support of customer issues
Time Management
Effective time management, field-based sites require travel and periods of time away from home. Must be willing to undertake this commitment
Communication
Excellent communication skills. Ability to understand tasks allocated and to work with project team and Clients to deliver projects to timing plans.
Team Working
Role involves working with the Projects and site installation team to deliver projects to timing plans.
Periods of working with other departments in the business to achieve delivery of the departmental requirements.
Cross Functional Working
Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful completion of projects
Adapt to roles within other departments to facilitate delivery of projects

Experience
Proven experience of Commissioning Electrical control systems
Previous experience in a similar working environment
Experience in PLC programming packages
Experience of working across other departments in the aviation / automation business.
Wide ranging technical background
Previous experience in all or some of the following areas: Automation
Automotive manufacturing
Aerospace manufacturing
Mechanical/material handling
Conveyor systems
Pneumatics
Hydraulics
Robotics
Control systems
Electrical power systems
Qualifications
Successfully completed an Electrical apprentice or NVQ3 diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications.
Electrical ECS Gold card holder
Electronics qualification
Computer training qualification
