The Leidos Innovation Studio (LIS) facilitates internal and external customer technology engagements across the Leidos enterprise in support of the Leidos vision to “Become the global leader in the development and application of technology to solve our customers’ most demanding challenges.”
The LIS has multiple principal objectives with the primary objectives being: (1) expand Leidos relationships and engagement with our customers’ senior leadership, including C-Suite/Flag/SES, key operations and acquisition personnel, program managers, and other key influencers and decision-makers; (2) provide a “showcase” for Leidos developed technology, solutions, investments and partnerships; (3) support teaching Leidos internal technology efforts across the enterprise, and (4) assist with IRAD development, awareness and validation.
This individual will be part of a small, dynamic team of business development professionals. The Customer Experience Manager is the key leader responsible for coordinating with our external Leidos customers to support engagement planning, operations, and feedback. This position leads and serves as a conduit between internal customer engagement requests and our external customers in support of the Leidos business development of the technology “go to market” research and strategy. They will help build and engage the workforce to foster strategic partnerships and long-term relationships, drive organizational effectiveness, and deliver measurable results.
Primary Responsibilities
- Nurture external customer cross-function relationships.
- Facilitate with internal and external senior executives, vendors, and technical personnel to help enable a place to showcase Leidos global technologies.
- Work with Leidos Strategic Account Executives and Leidos CTO & BD communities to develop comprehensive and relevant external customer processes to enable and enhance customer engagements. Provide recommendations as appropriate in support of processes, policies, and strategy.
- Support the development of strategies and specific objectives, processes, schedules (develop, maintain, coordinate, and communicate on external customer engagements status), and associated contacts to support the BD and facility requirements of the studio.
- Help develop project management activities as they relate to external customer care to initiate, plan, execute and monitor the performance to deliver high-quality customer engagements.
- Help develop and track engagement metrics on a monthly basis, provide lessons learned, and research new materials as related to our customer engagement processes.
- Create, update, and implement external coordination processes (for example: calendar and task tracking processes).
- Maintains related externally-focused content, including updates to calendars, documents, action item, and other artifacts
- Liaise with GHQ Facilities team to help facilitate the delivery of multiple media demonstrations of the LIS customer engagement projects. Assists with on-site meeting and may provide logistics oversight during engagement. Provide training on the use of the facilities and associated IT to a global Leidos team.
- Oversee and produce external engagement related materials such as schedules, engagement kickoff related activities (request and verify meeting dates, provide directions, coordinate parking and the passing of clearances, conduct post engagement surveys, etc.), ensure clear communication of these materials to our external customers. Ensure clear understanding of next steps are well-articulated and consistent both to our internal and external customers; remain current of modifications and communicate those changes to customers.
- Conduct surveys with external participants for lessons learned post-engagement event.
- Maintain tight, proactive communication with leadership and internal and external customers to ensure all necessary resources and activities are available to achieve a successful external customer engagement.
- Take notes at the engagement, write up the final meeting minutes and executive summaries, create action item lists for each engagement and track the status of the action items and ensure proper coordination and approvals for final release.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 12 years of related experience (additional years of related experience if no degree) or a Master’s Degree with 10 years of experience; years of experience working with senior government officials on meeting, planning, and execution of events may be used in lieu of a degree
- Experience coordinating events, schedules, and meeting requirements with senior government level officials
- Previous experience developing, setting up, facilitating, and following up on of high-level government meetings
- Understanding of facilities and how to set up meeting room per requirements (space, IT, meeting flow from room to room, security, etc.)
- Experience taking notes and documenting high-level and technical meetings
- Experience following and tracking action items
- Strong teamwork and exceptional collaboration skills required
- Experience with and strong interpersonal skills; calling and talking to senior level customers
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on customer problem solving
- Ability to work to meet deadlines
- Ability to assist technical and capture personnel
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage geographically disparate engagements (on/off-site)
- Ability to travel (limited travel) and willingness to come into the office (required based on engagement planning, execution, and follow-up schedule)
