This position is a full-time remote teleworker but may require occasional on-site meetings.
Leidos is seeking an analytical and solution-driven data expert to lead the design and implementation of transformational data management solutions. The Leidos Data Management Technical Lead will collaborate with a cross-functional team to plan, architect, and implement universal data repositories, data integration, data quality, data catalogs, and related solutions. Our ideal candidate is a thought leader who can execute tactically while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment—and must possess excellent technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
In this role, you will:
Model, design and build data architectures relative to Data Lake and Data Catalog solutions.
Architect and build solutions for integrating ELT/ETL, data quality management, data query, and semantic search.
Design solutions to organize structured, semi-structured, unstructured content using taxonomies.
Ensure designed solutions support the complete data lifecycle—from creation to retention and purge.
Incorporate data management best practices to maintain security and controlled access to data.
Design and build solutions using AWS services, including data services such as Data Lake, Glue, Athena.
Serve as an organizational thought leader on data architecture, management, and governance.
Communicate the intricacies of backend development challenges and issues.
Serve as a lead interface with external clients as needed.
Support project roadmaps and new business proposals as needed.
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
8 years or more of software/information technology experience.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating technology and data management solutions.
Comfortable with release management in dynamic environments
Able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
Must be a motivating and self-directed engineering leader valuing collaboration, listening, empathy, transparency, attention to detail, ownership, accountability, risk management.
Not required, but additional education, certifications, and/or experience will be considered a plus:
Experience working and collaborating on projects using Agile methodologies including quick sprint release cycles
Experience as a Technical Lead or Architect, ideally in a professional services or consulting environment with a demonstrable history of leading data engineering teams.
Experience using JIRA or similar toolsKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines within AWS services and configuration management.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00#Remote
