Leidos is seeking a Client Solutions Architect who enjoys working in a dynamic fast-paced environment to support the ALTESS Contract in Radford, VA.
LOCATION:
Remote with minimum of 1 week/month on-site. You must be able to travel and work at the customer site -a minimum of 1 week out of every month.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for a Client Solutions Architect supporting the ALTESS commercial cloud customers who reside in Microsoft Azure (Gov/DoD). ALTESS is a managed service provider (MSP) for Army IT systems and we support enterprise applications owners hosted in private and public cloud environments.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Must have an active Secret Security clearance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Participate and lead technical requirements gathering sessions with customers interested in migrating their IT system to ALTESS.
•Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements.
•Based on customer's technical requirements, develop an architecture for the customer's IT system.
•Create all the required architecture documentation and diagrams and create a Technical Data Package for the customer's IT system.
•Assist with identifying and planning potential new managed services, features, and capabilities.
•Serve as overall subject matter expert on Windows technology and market capabilities/trends.
•Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, application, and networking issues in a complex and highly secured environment.
•Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of network, storage, and compute technologies.
•Contributing to the ALTESS ongoing automation efforts.
•Managing multiple customer application migrations simultaneously.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant work experience.
•Experience developing cloud based architecture solutions based on customer requirements.
•DoD 8570.01-M IAM level II certification is required.
•Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server+, etc.) – can be waived for 30 days after project join date.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Knowledge of private/hybrid/commercial cloud environments.
•Senior level Windows Administrator experience.
•Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.
•Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
•Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (PowerShell, DSC, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
•Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
PREEFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience automating routine administrative tasks.
