Job Summary
The Leidos Defense Group/C4ISR Operation CTO organization is seeking Solutions Architects (SAs) to work in developing solutions and technical offerings across command and control (C2); C4ISR services; mission IT; modeling, simulation, and training; and multi-domain operations (MDO) programs spanning all DoD Services and all operational domains. Staff SAs support multiple portions of the C4ISR Operation portfolio in this role, with emphasis in one area aligned to the SAs’ skills and career objectives. Staff SAs work under the direction of a Senior SA, offering the SAs mentorship and guidance as the SAs take on increasingly demanding solutioning efforts in terms of technical complexity, span across the Leidos enterprise, and potential revenue. The position works with other SAs in the Operation and Defense Group, the Office of Technology (OoT), and across Leidos to pursue, win, and support execution of programs. SAs will be included in the Corporate Solution Architect Program, furthering their technical leadership maturation and broadening their experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
Works with a technical and overall capture team in developing C4ISR and related mission solutions applicable across defense and mission partner initiatives to achieve Combined/Joint All-Domain C2 objectives. A key focus is on supporting early engagement on small/mid-size program opportunities, working with technical staff and Business Development personnel to understand customer needs. Emphasis is on taking an increasing technical leadership role in identifying capabilities to address a range of emerging customer needs. Implements strategy-to-action plans.
Works as part of a team to develop solutions that are highly innovative, bringing together capabilities ranging from data integration, to C2 systems, to analyst/operational support, and to M&S and training; from mid-TRL capabilities to continuous delivery and operational sustainment; and for national security applications leveraging capabilities across the commercial and traditional DoD industrial base. Develops insight into technology investment carried out in the OoT and the C4ISR Operation through the guidance of the Operation CTO and the direction of a Senior SA, enabling solution efforts to leverage this investment.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience. Additional years’ experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
-Experience in C4ISR development or analyst services programs
-Ability to work with industry and/or international partners to collectively address challenging customer missions and address diverse business objectives amongst the team
-Familiarity with the development of innovative solutions in support of major capture and proposal efforts
-Demonstrated communication skills
-Willingness to travel up to 50% depending on the Staff SAs’ home locations relative to those of teams and customers with whom the Staff SAs will interact
-Position requires the ability to attain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
-Recent experience in participating C4ISR solution development for a competitive DoD program, , preferably with technical emphasis in at least one of the following areas: Software Development, Infrastructure Engineering, Sensor and Sensor Data Integration, and Communications, including Operational Experience
-Familiarity with multiple operational domains
-Experience participating in creation of white papers, proposals, and/or briefings
-Experience in a recent technical role as part of a team developing or implementing strategy aligned to defense C4ISR and related missions
-Recent experience with key customers / programs, including working with classified customers
-Understanding of relevant DoD user and acquisition organizations
-Readiness to engage in business development and capture efforts in the role of Solution Architect
-Active or previous security clearance

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00#Remote
