The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a motivated Junior SE Engineer to our program to conduct systems engineering and integration activities for our USAF customer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and skill to support business area growth in the Force Protection Market with an overall emphasis on Base Defense and Counter-sUAS (C-sUAS); providing a wide range of engineering support to enhance both Base Defense and C-sUAS operational capabilities in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities Include:
We are seeking a motivated junior SE Engineer with MBSE skills and the desire to work on an exciting and fast paced project with the opportunity to learn from subject matter experts in the C-sUAS mission area. The individual will utilize their SE and digital engineering skills to generate and manage system and sub-system requirements, apply MBSE skills supporting design activities and capturing those efforts in our system model, support the HW/SW design teams to ensure allocated requirements are applied to the product-level solutions that are generated. The individual will also provide integration and test support to verify the system design, and troubleshoot reported issues in support of deploying the system. The individual should enjoy working as part of large, geographically dispersed team. Individual should possess strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience, including military experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience developing and managing system requirements.
- Experience deriving and managing sub-system, hardware and software requirements and tracing them to higher level system/sub-system requirements.
- Experience with MBSE
- Experience managing SDLC activities using Confluence and Jira
- US Citizenship and active Secret Clearance
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Knowledge of DOORS, Cameo
- Knowledge of System of Systems architectures
- Knowledge of C2, C-sUAS systems and architectures
- Active Top Secret Clearance
