Job Description:

The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within the Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity as a Hardware/Software Specialist to work at the USCG C5ISC data center in Kearneysville, West Virginia. The Hardware/Software Specialist will collaborate with the USCG’s Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) – Alexandria, VA in supporting engineering services for all USCG network and end user hardware on the infrastructure managed services (IMS) program that will empower all 65,000 end users (EUs) to successful execute the USCG’s eleven mandatory missions. Ultimately, Leidos will support the C5ISC IMS team in unifying its shore-based networks and data management processes to improve network capabilities and end user experience while decreasing life cycle costs and improving the USCG operational IT readiness.

Primary Responsibilities:  
The specialist is to identify requirements for hardware and software to support innovation, development, integration, and test environments.  The specialist will be charged with developing, delivering, maintaining, and implementing plans, processes, and techniques to identify, quantify, and monitor hardware and software assets (including licenses and maintenance agreements). Providing the capabilities necessary to define, track, and control licenses procured under the contract and those licenses provided by the Government for the full period of performance of the contract. Support the development and delivery required reporting to track/audit hardware (equipment, parts, and materials) and software vendors, titles, licenses, quantities, costs, versions, and usage to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of each. The candidate will be expected to interface with Government personnel, subcontractors, and management to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables, and resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • An active DoD Secret security clearance is required, with ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Candidate must have experience conducting logistical support and with resource accountability
  • The candidate must have BS with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Ability to lead small teams in support of technical refreshes across large IT enterprise architectures
  • Participate in audits and physical asset verification within home site and throughout the enterprise
  • Maintain process documentation as Configuration Management processes improve/change
  • Aid in program-wide configuration management strategy and execution plan
  • Aid in Planning and executing Enterprise Life-cycle Management
  • Assist in developing and maintaining program configuration management plan detailing processes and procedures for managing the program’s diverse configuration items including complex hardware, software, and documentation
  • Establish baseline network document control program/filing/retrieval system and document configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Provide artifacts as needed to support Certification and Accreditation for systems and services.
  • Instruct and train other team members and management staff regarding document control and configuration management use and processes.
  • Provide recommendations and best practices to improve existing CM processes and procedures.
  • Ensure configuration management program conforms to all required U.S. Government and Department of Defense rules and requirements.
  • Certification in one of the DOD 8570 IAM Level I; CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP

  • Experience working with all network domains within DoD
  • ITILv4 Foundations
